Oh come on, Adrian is pathetic!!! Rose had to be stupid if she hadn't gone for Dimitri. And excuse me, but Rose was never into Adrian if he hadn't been a pain in the ass when she left for kill strigoi Dimitri, she would never, and I repeat, NEVER wanted to be with Adrian. She just wanted to be his friends since the first time she met him so obviously Adrian was way ahead of his chances with her. He knew the risk and he took it! It's his own lack of foresight!

Michelle wrote: "Yes, I was happy that Rose and Dimitri ended up together. After everything they went through they deserved their happiness. However, I didn't like the way things happened in Last Sacrifice. I never..."i just wanted to say that the only reason rose went out with adrian was because she promised to give him a chance. Adrian already knew that she didnt love him so i wasnt mad at rose.
Sammy wrote: "Michelle wrote: "Let's just hope Richelle addresses all those issues instead of getting side tracked by random villains and giving as a half baked end of series (yes, I'm referring to Shadow Heir)...."I totally agree, specially with the Shadow Heir... that was just... wth was that ending >.<
Orit wrote: "Sammy wrote: "Michelle wrote: "Let's just hope Richelle addresses all those issues instead of getting side tracked by random villains and giving as a half baked end of series (yes, I'm referring to..."I thought it was Shadow Kissed? Is it called Shadow Heir somewhere else?
Curlygirly wrote: "Michelle wrote: "Yes, I was happy that Rose and Dimitri ended up together. After everything they went through they deserved their happiness. However, I didn't like the way things happened in Last S..."I know right? Like Rose said, Adrian acts like the victim too often, and that helplessness did start getting on my nerves. I don't mind Adrian, I just think he'd be better suited for someone else. I also like your observation that he knew more than he was letting on about Dimitri and Rose. He had to have know.
Cassie wrote: "Curlygirly wrote: "Michelle wrote: "Yes, I was happy that Rose and Dimitri ended up together. After everything they went through they deserved their happiness. However, I didn't like the way things..."I think he just lied to himself about not knowing, people just like the 'bad guy' too much, a guy can be a jerk in a book and still get the girl, but a girl can't be anything other than selfless and afraid to hurt others. I liked Rose, she did what she had to do to get her happy ending, and she always thought of Lissa first, until the day she left and went to save Dimitri from himself, and she was still thinking about Lissa. I like Adrian, but his 'bad guy' reputation is mostly overrated.
Astoria wrote: "Cassie wrote: "Curlygirly wrote: "Michelle wrote: "Yes, I was happy that Rose and Dimitri ended up together. After everything they went through they deserved their happiness. People read too much into it.
Cassie wrote: "Astoria wrote: "Cassie wrote: "Curlygirly wrote: "Michelle wrote: "Yes, I was happy that Rose and Dimitri ended up together. I think people see him as the bad guy because he drinks, smokes and says sarcastic things.
I am all for Christian, favorite character since book 1.
I think you guys mean 'bad boy' reputation. 'Bad Guy' implies that he's the villain. Personally, I think Christian was the 'bad boy' of the series. Adrian was the 'play boy'.
Sammy wrote: "I think you guys mean 'bad boy' reputation. 'Bad Guy' implies that he's the villain. Personally, I think Christian was the 'bad boy' of the series. Adrian was the 'play boy'."Oh yeah, haha sorry, "bad boy". And yes, Christian did fit that stereotype.
He faked setting people on fire and doesn't like authority so yeah, he's a bit of a bad boy. Of course, If you gave Adrian a high-tech suite of armor he'd be Tony Stark. :P
Adrian, a bad boy??He's an angel for Rose, he's not exciting, he is boring and depressing! It isn't my stereotype of "bad boy"...
Vidhi wrote: "Yes I agree Rose and Dmitri were perfect together and he made her happy, and they should be together.. but Adrian, there is something to be noted in a flawed hero, who isn't moralistic but would do..."I absolutely agree! I love Rose and Dimitri together, but I really loved Adrian and how dedicated he was to her, He never claimed to be perfect but he tried hard for Rose.
Kayla wrote: "Who's Adrian?! He wasn't in the first book was he? That's all I've read so far."You meet him in the next one. You definitely should keep reading the series! :)
Yes I liked the ending :) People go on about poor Adrian but not everyone can be happy. If anything I think the ending was a little too like happy but I still thought it was a great series :D
Anna wrote: "Okay there are all these discussions about how Rose should have been with Adrian but am I the only one who Loved that Rose and Dimitri ended up together. I absolutely loved Adrian but just not with..."I totally agree with on this. Adrian is awesome but he's not for Rose.
It's great that Roza and Dimka ended up together. What Rose did to Adrian well that's Rose for you she will never be a victem. Adrian will always be that till he's ready to change.
I was happy that they ended together. as for Adrian i felt bad for him sure he got in Rose's way a lot and kept visiting her in her dreams that was weird every time I read that

totally agreed. i hate how she gave wing to adrian and then cut them of it was heartbreaking.

I was really happy they were together :o)
As Shakespeare said,
"The course of true love never did run smooth"
Everything happens for a reason as you will see with Adrian in bloodlines... and it was frustrating for me to see Rose battle between what was expected of her and to who her heart really belongs. Rose is portrayed as having flaws (obnoxious at points) which makes her more likeable to me. In the end she got the guy (who is totally amazing) even if it did leave a wake of broken loving in their path. Sure Adrian thought he loved Rose to the point of heartache but what about the times when Rose thought she had lost Dimitri? She has gone through so much and I can empathise that she finally found a slice of peace in her kickass life. Just my thoughts :o)
xx just my pondering two cents xx

there is the follow up series out: Bloodlines. very good series again and it looks at Sydney and Adrian in great detail and a bit on Eddie... read it and some of your questions might get answered.

I liked Rose with Adrian, but I knew in the end she was going to end up with Dimitri. I wouldn't have minded too much if only she had broken things off with Adrian before getting with Dimitri. Her cheating on Adrian kind of ruined her character for me.
Ugh! I really hate Rose and Dimitri together. I honestly didn't like them at all. I don't even like Rose at all! She is just the worst. Dimitri and Adrian honestly didn't deserve her. All she does is complain about things. Even though all she does besides that is think about her love life. Ugh! She complains about her problems but does nothing to fix it. Lissa is always there for her but she is STUPID and never realizes.
It would've been wrong if Rose had ended up with anyone other than Dimitri. They are perfect for each other in every way. Yes, I adore Adrian and I didn't hate him and Rose together. And, yes, the way Rose and Dimitri got back together wasn't ideal, but they were always meant to be. Sadly, I think Adrian was more in love with the idea of Rose than actually her. And a lot of what Rose said to Adrian when they broke up is true. They just didn't fit.

i love the ending but i think there should be 1 more book to see how they are i know bloodlines is a twist but its not enough at least for me
Tbh i quit the series in book five saw the way the books direction was taking the way how adrian introduced her to his parents what a big accomplishment btw and she just over looked it .can someone spell Ouch.
but to say the truth i never really liked dimitri from the start i mean falling for your pupil.
in my eyes thats a huge No , No i mean please look at your age gap so when Adrian was introduced i actually thought there was going to be hope for rose and sorry dimitri fans but when we thought she killed him i was quite glad she was finally going to have a relationship with Adrian who i loved first off.
sorry didn't reach the part where she cheats on Adrian but if there's one thing i hate it's cheaters.
the only good books in the series was from 1-3 .
Rose is not much liked in my fav character list .
Dimitri man a piece of advice but you really should look at people your age .
Disgusting.
So I’ve been reading the VA series, seriously IN LOVE with it. After the book(and watching the movie), I fell in love with the series. But anyways, my point, is that Dimitri is amazing, and him and Rose deserve each other. They did everything to protect, and save each other(even yes, killing him) to be together. Even though Rose didn’t know that was possible after killing his Strigoi self. Or, I should say, thinking she killed him. Her mistake was letting him fall into the River in Blood Promise. But, they are amazing in the end, and yeah, it’s pretty messed up how they ended up together, but I think it was what Richelle was trying to do all along, getting caught up in all the plot twists she had, and characters being added into the situation at hand. Don’t get me wrong, I sympathize Adrian, and the rest of them, but the selfishness of most of them throughout the series were evident so I don’t see why somehow, Dimitri and Rose are getting the blame all of a sudden, when pretty much every character in any story ever has their own selfish wishes. They are fictional characters, why would you be angry at a book? Not even at the author would be smart. The series is a great series, many love it, some hate it, and even more probably know nothing of it. I’m not here to argue, I’m just here to say that I agree. It was harsh of Rose to do what she did to get what she wanted, but everyone deserves happiness. And I think it’s a little funny that...in her situation, you would have felt the same way, and tried to figure things out. What would you do in that situation? Rose didn’t want to lie to Adrian when she realized she was still in love with Dimitri, but she was also afraid of the outcome of everything. Would you still want to be with Adrian? And why? Just because he could get her places? Because he was royal and had money? I think Rose and Dimitri were Richelle’s sights all along, so I love it regardless.
