It was a nice Saturday morning but it wasn’t as I expected it was very cold, at least inside my room…..
I went into the bathroom and started bathing.
Then I heard the door open.
I shrieked.
“Hello Rachel, it’s me Jessie and I wanted you to know that —“, Jessie fainted.
“Jess! What the heck are you doing!! It’s a bathroom you’re not supposed to be here!!!!”I yelled.
“Well I just— “he said while fainting again.
Then when I was sure he wouldn’t wake up again, I got out of the shower with a towel, took his hands and slide him into my bedroom. I locked the bathroom door.
And thought “He’s just my friend… but he is one heck of a pervert!”
Then I dressed up and woke Jessie up.
“Who let you in my room and how did you get here? “I asked.
“Well I told you that we had to study together for the science quiz today, and your mom let me in…..”He answered while blushing.
“Shit!”I said
“I forgot I’m so sorry!”
“It’s ok”
“Thanks! So… want to go for a bagel?”
“Sure!”
Then we grabbed our Science Books and went downstairs to study.
I could see Jessie staring at something, but I didn’t know what it was.
Then he started getting closer at me and closer and closer…..
“Hey I need personal space, you know?”I said
“Oh, yeah” he said shyly.
“Emmm, this morning, umm I didn’t see anything….emmm so “he said blushing.
Then I started blushing to….
Then we started to get a bit closer and closer and closer and closer and you get the point.
I was sure our lips were like just a centimeter away…. And we were about to… kiss! ;)
We both blushed.
All of a sudden I was sitting on his lap and hugging him.
We looked into each other’s eyes and blushed.
The next day I saw him opening his locker.
I could see he was getting ready for the next class.
“Hi”I said shyly.
“Hi” he answered.
“Emmm about last night….I, well”
“Umm you what “he said impatiently.
“I love you “I said while putting my elbows and head against his chest.
We blushed.
I opened my locker and I saw a paper, it had slipped of my locker.
I picked it up.
“In a pond of harmony we both swim, calmly as a soft melody begins. My love you are and I am yours, tonight I wish you were here”
I blushed.
I looked at my left hoping to see Jessie, but he had left.
I starting looking around the paper for his name…. but it didn’t have his name.
I noticed that the poem’s uppercase letters had been underlined.
As the bell rang everybody started running. It looked like a whole buffalo herd.
I got to my class which was science.
We were talking about how the human body works, mainly about how men and women change through puberty.
After that it was time to go home.
“Mom, Dad!!!”I yelled.
“Hi” my mom said. “Your dad hasn’t arrived yet. How did school go?”
“Well, gross and weird as always “I answered.
“Honey, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing”
I ran upstairs.
I took my phone and started calling dad.
My phone started beeping.
Then he answered.
“Hello?”
“Hi dad it’s me Rachel, I wanted to know when you were going to come.”
“I think I won’t be able to come tonight, the airplane is delayed”
“Oh, ok! See ya’ tomorrow!”
“Bye”
Then I put my phone on my desk and grabbed my book.
“Who was it” a woman’s voice said
“My daughter “A man’s voice said.
I could recognize the voice. It was dad!
“So they still don’t know about our relation?”
“Nope”
I grabbed my phone and put it in my ear.
Then I could hear they were kissing.
Warm tears started to come out of my eyes.
Then I hung up.
I started sobbing and moaning.
Mom came running with a First Aid Kit in her hand.
“Are you alright?”She said.
“He, ch-ch- cheated on y-you…”I said.
“Who what?”
I wiped my tears of and said.
“My dad cheated on you.”
“He couldn’t, what made you think that?”She said surprised.
“I called him, I forgot to hang up and he forgot to then he had a conversation with this woman and they started kissing!”I said.
She looked at me with her eyes wide open.
We started crying.
We called dad again.
"Hello?"
"Hi, Avian how's your love trip going?"my mom said.
"What love trip honey? you know it's a work trip."
"Yeah righ, how come you have two women"
"What?"
"How could you?"mom started sobbing.
"Go to hell"I said.
I hang up.
"Mom will you guys get divorced?"
"Yes, honey, yes we will"
I stared at the clock.
"I think it's time for us to have dinner."I said.
I went downstairs with mom.
"Honey would you mind if I go out to buy some food?"mom said.
"Emm, ok. I guess"I said.
Mom shut the door when she left.
I started to get bored, so I started to make some pastries for mom and me to eat as dessert.
Then I heard a weird noise coming from the basement.
I opened the basement door and turned on the light.
I didn't see anything but I could hear someone crying.
"What the?-it comes from the roof!"
I grabbed the ladder and put it next to a ceiling hole.
I saw little Jane crying.
Little Jane is our neighbor's 7-year old daughter.
She's always crying. This time she was going to comit suicide.
"wait!"
"Why should I"
"'Cause, emmm wouldn't you like to have your first kiss or marry someone!"
"I don't. If they stop fighting it would be a better reason for me to not kill myself" she said while pointing at the window were her parents faught.
"Come, you won't like this!"
She looked down.
"well."
There was a sudden silence.
She threw herself.
I tried to catch her but, it was to late.
"Help!"a voice screamed.
She was hanging on the tip of the roof.
I reached out to grab her hand, she reached out.
She started crying.
"Help me please Rachel, I-I don't want to end up dying like this!"
"I can't promise you that your parents will stop fighting, but i'll try.", I dried her tears.
Since that day I started to have wonders if that is how I was going to feel.
The next two weeks I've suffered of a deaseas, It's called; POET-FEVER, and I'm serious, it's horrible, the same person keeps giving me this wierd poems.
Each poem has all their uppercase letters under lined,but I just get this feeling that, it's some sort of clue.
I read one of the poems and it's letters where, D,R,E,W.
I wrote the first letters and the second,the third,fourth,fifth,and sixth on my whiteboard.
And I could see it, I could see what it said, it said I'm Luis and you are my love, i would love to go out with you but please finish up with Drew.
My heart beated fast.
My eyes started to fall.
I wasn't really noticing but, there was a person knocking on the door, it seemed like if he or her got tired of knocking and just opened the door.
