Not just another break up story!

I just finished Why We Broke Up today and I have found myself missing the characters like friends who I know I won't be seeing again. The author did an amazing job of pulling me into the story and allowing me to really connect with the protagonist. I really could Sympathize with Min and not because I could identify with her but because I felt like I was there with her as a friend to whom she is sharing the story of her love and ultimate betrayal.
I don't want to give to much of the story line away. It is pretty obvious that this is a book about a break up, but the way in which Daniel Handler handles it is refreshing and different. I really enjoyed the pictures that begin each chapter as they are the objects that Min is putting in the box to give back to Ed.
I recommend that the book be read in a real hardback book form rather than E-reader format. The book and the artists renderings are to beautiful to be limited by the e=format.
A playlist for this book would have to include "Not Over You" by Gavin Degraw. Listen to the song while reading the book.
If I were casting this as a movie I would cast Zach Roerig as Ed (Matt Vampire Diaries) and I would cast Eliza Dushku as she looked when she was in "Bring it On" 2000.
