I agree with both of you! There's so many of these wannabe fans that act like they know THG because they just freaking found out about it because of the movie. I always always comment that I have read THG long before a news about the movie comes out. Seriously, I do not want THG To be like Twilight.

Actually, most of the time the book is better than the movie .. and most movies .. they dont follow the book to a T. they leave out important parts or they actually change the book to suit the movie and the target audience and while thats all good and well for the people who havent read the book, it annoys the crap out of me.

It loses the essence of the book when they change stuff on the movie.
Book lovers know the part they change so they become unhappy with the movie.

It has something to do with the duration of the movie. They said that if they include everything in the book then the duration will be longer. But honestly, I don't care. I can watch the movie as long as it is exactly as the book.

The only movie adaptation that I'm satisfied with is the HP franchise.
Have you guys read the inheritence series by christopher paolini? they made a movie from the first book , Eragon .. and although the movie was a bit cool .. there was sooooo many aspects of the book missing that it just was not possible for them to make a second movie. which really really sucked. this means someone has to either remake the film .. or we're stuck without the next books as movies. ._. it totally sucks.

I second! :D

I only read Eragon. And believe me, I was damn disappointed. I guess it's the length of the book, it's so long and the writing is so ancient-like. I got bored and all. Though my classmates are shocked that I actually did not like it. But oh well. I'm still planning to read Eldest.
