Here is what I think might happen if he does.

Octavian will sneak onto the ship. Annabeth will find him, along with Percy, Leo, Frank, and Jason.

Jason: Where's Octavian?

Leo: He was with Annabeth last.

Percy: Oh no...

Annabeth: Oh, Octavian was hungry, o I made him a knuckle sandwich

I'm thinking more like Percy is going to take a catnap, but instead finds himself with Octavian.

yeah, then they get the idiot henchmen and complain. that's why I admire Jafar from Aladdin. Until Aladdin 2, Jafar was the brains, but his henchman was a smart parrot that still took orders. You need a smart henchman so that they don't mess up your plans, but still dumb enough that they don't turn against you (Jafar and Kronos)
