Okay, on the original question:) I have read the Harry Potter series five times and watched each of the movies multiple times. I have read the Hunger Games series once and haven't seen the movie. Does that tell you which I like better?:) Really you can't compare them though because they're so different and are good in different ways.

Harry Potter, it'a a part of my childhood that nothing will ever be able to replace.
I would have to choose Harry every time because they are just the best books ever. I loved the Hunger Games but would put them down for Harry every time.
Everyone`s obsessed with the hunger games. But I didn`t get a good picture like with J.k rowling. I don`t think they were all that amazing

i was only gonna read Catching Fire because the movie is coming out in like...a year and a half. and i had to read it before the movie came out. then it ended on a cliffhanger. so i got Mockingjay and read. i kinda didn't wanna finish though, because some people say Mockingjay is terrible, and some say its amazing. i think it was okay. but the worst in the series. it took me the longest to read at least.

uh harry potter without a doubt. i HATED hunger games; and i got a lightning bolt tattooed on me long ago because of my love for the harry potter books, that's how dorky i was, still am...

I have not joint any other group except for Harry Potter does that tell u something?Hunger Games was amazing but then Collins lost the plot in Catching Fire and Mockingjay was seriously pretty boring. Harry Potter was consistent all throughout. So no doubts!

me too. i would have preferred not to finish mockingjay, but then i would have been arguing with myself and getting mad at myself for not finishing it

In my opinion, HP can't be compared to anything.. it's epic.they were only compared because of its popularity.

I think The Hunger Games was really good, but for me its one of those books that I can only read once. But The Harry Potter series, that I can read over and over again, which I have. It didn't matter that I have read it to death, it still never ceases to be magical.

I hate katniss, love peeta, and think HP is waaaaaay better then HG but again HG isnt horrible

They are very different! YOU CANNOT COMPARE THEM! I love them both and it's just my opinion that they are both great in their own way.

WITH NO DOUBT it will be Harry Potter for me. Imagine being a student in Hogwarts; learning spells, potions, and playing Quidditch. Imagine growing up with Harry! What if you were the fourth best friend of the triad? It would be amazing to go through the same adventures Harry, Ron, and Hermione have undertaken. And then imagine being forced to inhabit an arena and the only way for you to survive is to KILL the others. Don't get me wrong, I love the Hunger Games, but compared to Harry Potter, it is inferior.

HP all the way.The first HungerGames book was good, the second decent, the last one was disappointing...
The story behind HP is much more complex if you think about it, the HungerGames series just aims a more mature target, you can't be 12 and understand the political aspects or the moral ones.
