"i do." Dekka said. Brianna nodded.
"Like what?" Kate urged.
"How do I know I can trust you?" Dekka said. "I've been tricked before and it won't happen a second time." Dekka stood.
Penny caught up with Drake. "Help me." she said. "Team?"

Kate didn't laugh. Two years ago, she would have. But recent experiences have taught her trust is not to be taken lightly. "I'm not going to trick you into anything," she said, with a tone of rare dead seriousness. "If you want I can- oh wait, that's Top Secret, better not. Uh..." Kate racked her brain for good ideas on proving her trustworthiness that did NOT involve spilling the beans about Ledroptha Curtain and the Whisperer.
"I belive you." Dekka said. "Sorta."
"Mm.... Let's just say I saved the world multiple times because people trusted me." Kate said with a shrug. "So, what's your power?"

"I could always try changing into one of them, and then confusing their allies," she said, then paused. "However, they're in the same boat as us. If we could make them believe we want to be their allies, we could find out what is really going on."

"Prefer to run?" Alanna asked, looking curiously at Brianna. Nothing like she'd ever encountered, but of course her encounters were fairly limited.
Alanna nodded and went back to looking straight ahead, silently.Meg and Miranda spotted a group of four girls running up the hill, nearly parallel to them. "Should we go join them?" Meg asked uncertainly, tripping a little again. D*mn clumsiness. Miranda caught her and shook her head. "Best not. They might have weapons."
Brianna smiled at Dekka. "Did you see him on your way over here?" Dekka shook her head.
Alanna looked over at them curiously, confused by who 'he' was. She remained silent, however; if they weren't going to mention him by name, she should probably leave it be.Kate, on the other hand, was less smooth. "Who's him?" she asked brightly, changing direction abruptly. She figured they could follow pretty easily.
"He is Drake." Brianna said. "We should try to stay clear of him."

Both Alanna and Kate nodded. "We should find somewhere to take a break," Kate suggested.

Alanna followed close at her heels. She may not be as fast, but she was fast for an elf her age.Kate felt really slow watching those to. Sure, she was faster than Dekka(proved by running ahead), but she missed being the fastest of the group.
Dekka tried her best to keep up with Kate but failed horribly.
Kate stopped at the entrance and looked back at Dekka.Alanna stopped once she was inside the real cave.
Dekka got in and sat down. Brianna sat next to her.
Alanna sat near the entrance, Kate in the far back. "Anyone have something to light a fire?" Alanna asked quietly.
"All i've got is a gun." Brianna said.
"Gun?" Alanna asked, cocking her head, while Kate perked up. "Useful!" Kate cried, scooting around to Brianna.
Brianna pulled out her sawed-off double-barreled shotgun.
Kate nodded while Alanna continued to look confused. "What's that?" she asked in wonder.
((Bye!))Alanna quirked an eyebrow at Dekka. "I meant what is a gun," she said, barely keeping the hiss out of her voice.
"It has bullets," Brianna held up a bullet, "you can shoot and if i6 hits a person it will either kill them or hurt them really bad."

Kate looked the gun over, without taking it from Brianna.

"What's this Drake done to you?" Kate asked, tilting her head.
Brianna smiled. "He hates her, he's tried to kill her many, many, times." Dekka said.
"Oh... Does he have powers, too?" Kate asked, confused.
"Off of the arena he's immortal. He has a pinkish snakelike whip for a hand. His whip is often used." Brianna said.
"Ouch," Kate winced a little.

Meg and Miranda stopped after a while. They were far from the waters now, thankfully. "Margaret Murry, and you are?" Meg asked, looking over at her apparent new ally.
