Hunger Games:

So as apart of our whole 'Hunger Games' tribute here at the Lounge, I thought it would be fun to introduce everyone to online screenplays. Personally, they're one my favourite types of games since they encourage creativity and help people get to know one and the other.

The Plot:
In this screenplay, you will use a character from another novel. This character has been thrown into the Hunger Games world and is competing for their lives as a tribute. You may have 1-5 characters. However, I recommend having at least two incase one of your characters, a tribute, is killed. That way you can still contribute to the screenplay.

Rules:
-Basically just the rules of the website.
-Also don't make your character invincible. If your characters decapitated (or injured in a way that any human would die) don't make them miraculously pop up alive and completely fine.
-Don't go on huge killing sprees. Basically, within one post you can't kill/injure more than one character.
-Also, Jaye and I are the 'gamemakers' so we can add needed rules when we see fit. The rules we make wont be there just for us to benefit from but will more so make the game better. For example, if we see someone is really cheating, we'll try to put a stop to it.
-Be realistic. You aren't going to kick over a full-grown tree and hit someone with it. (On a screenplay website I was apart of, people actually did try to get away with that :P)
-Also don't take absolutely everything from the cornucopia. You're character wont be able to carry over 300 lbs of items while running for their lives.

Additional Rules You Need To Know:
-If you're character is someone from the Hunger Games series, make it as if they haven't been in the games before. Hearing of it is fine,
-If you're a wizard/witch from Harry Potter (or any other series with wizards and witches) you cannot kill anyone with Avada Kedavra/other killing spells.

The Arena:
The arena is a mountain. At the very top, there is glaciers and snow. At the bottom, is grass. On the way up there is caves and other normal things you would find on a mountain. There is streams for waters and some animals for hunting. There is a cornucopia at the centre of the Arena. The list of items will be posted shortly after people have signed up as well.

I'm reading through it and it really is a great idea. Basically, we all become a character that we love from any book (Hermione Granger, Ender from Ender's Game, Katniss Everdeen, Jacob Black etc.) and we are all thrown into a Hunger Games-style Arena, with only the skills from the characters we represent (magic, genius, bow & arrow, werewolf etc.) to help us.
I think this one has potential... hmmm.

As previously stated, Mist and I will be the Gamemakers in this game. Once everyone has signed up, we will release the Arena location and type of environment. In order to qualify to play, you MUST state your strengths and weaknesses. You are limited by the character's actual strengths and weaknesses (i.e. what’s listed in the actual book)…. so make them good.

(P.S. our Arena is special, meaning that any and everyone who enters with the awesome power of invincibility and immortality will lose them upon entering! So, if your character has either of these powers… SORRY, but they disappear in this Arena!!

Age (if you're a tribute you have to be between 12 and 18): 16

Personality: Honest, loyal, helps her friends survive but always remembers herself, hardworking, occasionally she'll allow herself a treat, sensible.

Physical Appearance: (According to the book: Skinny, 'average teenage girl'. I'm going to expand. This is how I and probably only I see Miranda:) Thin, straight black hair that falls to just past her shoulder blades and ends in an almost curl; striking, almost cautionary hazel-green eyes; very pale skin with slight, pale freckles on her nose and cheeks; skinny and bony from lack of food, not particularly strong-looking(but that's not entirely true); between 5'5" and 5'6".

Strengths: Instincts/intuition, fasting herself, swimming, can swing an ax and probably a sword.

Weaknesses: Family members, chocolate, her ankle's a little weak(if I remember correctly) because she broke it ice skating. (sorry, can't think of any more...)

Background: Born and raised in Howell, Pennsylvania, Miranda's parents divorced and her dad remarried when she was younger. She has two brothers: Matt(older) and Jonny(younger), and lives with her mother.
A little while after her 16th birthday, an asteroid knocked the moon closer into orbit with the earth. This had catastrophic and apocalyptic consequences on America, let alone the rest of the world. She and her family learned to survive in these circumstances for almost a year when they were summoned here. She was surprised, and a little skeptical, upon hearing the layout of the Hunger Games. She was even worse when she heard her name get called.

Apperance: Isabelle is very tall for her age, but described to be beautiful and slim like a goddess. She has long black hair and brown eyes and resembles her mother greatly. Her looks deceives many; they do not think such a gorgeous girl could be a vicious Shadowhunter

Strengths: Her lightning fast ability to use her whip and her fearless nature. She is very protective and can do wonders with her talking. Possibly the best Shadowhunter girl her age. With her daggers, seraph blade, and electrum whip no demon dares to to try and outfight Isabelle.

Weaknesses: Situations can get the best of her sometimes, so her focus and ability to fight is weakened. She'd get frazzled easily, but the runes tattooed on her skin can help with some of that

Personality: She loves wolves. She is a warrior. She fights like no other. Brave.
Appearence: Long, wavy, black hair. Tall. Super tan skin.
Strengths: Her wolf stone which creates the red/orange fire she uses to fight & her two pet wolves.
Weakness: Sometimes her anger gets out of control and she does bad things with it. Also (not often) words get to her and she can't calm/control herself.
Background: Her parents are famous artists and they move around alot so she lives with her grandma, Nakoda, at Ravenswood wildlife preserves in Stonehill, Pensilvania.

It's optional. The only things you need for sure is like the book a character is from, the author, their strengths, and their weaknesses. For the backgroudn, we can most likely either just read the book or find a summary online. However, if you want to include the background that's cool and helpful too :P

Name: Nathanial/Bartimaeus
Book: Ptolemy's Gate (Bartimaeus trilogy, book 3)
Personality: Nathanial is snobby but is beginning to understand compassion, Bartimaeus is cynical and has a knowledge that comes from thousands of years of servitude.
Appearance: Messy brown hair that reaches past his eyes. Tall and gangly. A bit of stubble.
Strengths: Very fast, powerful, and can cast immensely powerful spells with Gladstone's Staff (which is technically destroyed, but for the purposes of the game, is perfectly intact).
Weaknesses: Move in the wrong direction, mix up commands, easy to sneak up on.
Other: Nathanial has actually summoned Bartimaeus into his own body, giving him freedom of movement while Bartimaeus tells him what to do as well as increasing the power of any magic performed with the Staff.

(This might be a bit overpowered, but the important thing is that he/they're not invincible.)
