Laila | 2 comments Hi,

I like Oprah a lot. For me, she's "Sharing" incarnated! If there's a way to make money and use it well, Oprah shows us how, everyday! Selfless, sharing, modest & mature, I think she's a role model in many ways..what do you think?

Diane (dideo74) | 3 comments What I like the most about Oprah is she is a truly wonderful, beautiful woman not afraid to share herself, warts and all, with us. And I admire and respect that she uses her influence positively and proactively. May she be with us for many, many, many years!

Rock (quaggaquest) | 1 comments Oprah has used her success and recognition to open the door for many experts to come through and share with millions of people the wisdom that helps everyday people live better lives. From her television show to her radio station, she stays true to her heart and genuinely tries to promote subject matter that can inspire, heal, and transform. I think Oprah is a blessing for all of us.

I like the fact that Oprah sees life from a spiritual standpoint. She sees everything as spiritual in nature, and her humanitarian perspective is just a reflection of that. She's one of my heroes. And she's beautiful, inside and out.

Wild for Wilde (wildforwilde) | 5 comments She's smart, deep, intuitive, and has a great and honest heart. She's not fake, works extremely hard, and strives to become a better person and more knowledgeable everyday.

message 10: by Michael (new)

Michael Cogdill (michaelofshe-rain) | 4 comments Service. Oprah's determined to translate celebrity and money into a legacy that will far outlast her. Way to flood the world with the beauty of the regular gal who soared far beyond anyone's expectations. While others wallow in their imperfections, you use yours to help create an intimacy with the world -- and a great change in it, too. The show will soon end, but your finest hours await, Oprah.

And from this journalist who for years has followed you on television, thanks for the numbers, girl!! Television news owes you a fortune in gratitude!!

Best tidings, all. Never forget, if this underestimated Appalachian Tarheel boy can achieve what I've been blessed with, you can soar into the firmaments. Get after it. Why, yeah, fly so high you make Pluto into a planet again!!!

message 11: by Kate Padilla (new)

Kate Padilla | 3 comments I like that she's taken the traditional daytime talk show slot and turned it into something worth watching. She explores very human, even harsh, topics that we generally don't know how to approach ourselves. And she's reminded our society that many of the best things like in the classic parts of live (printed books) and that not all good things come on a digital screen.

Michael Cogdill (michaelofshe-rain) | 4 comments Kate, amen!! She's daring to explore the depths of humanity without the screed of judgment. Network TV affiliates will miss her. I work for one and have felt the ratings impact of Oprah leading into the newscasts I anchor for years. May her legacy grow stronger all the time!

Warmest peace,
m

So true, Kate. And I like how you added, Michael, that she leaves out her own judgment. We'll certainly miss here here in the group. However, we're already beginning to see her reach out in ways that have her unmistakable stamp on them as she begins to prepare for launching her OWN network in January.
