I am a huge asimov fan and looking for more fans out there. I am putting up my reading order so we can discus it:
1. the caves of steel 2. the naked sun 3. Robots of Dawn 4. Robots and Empire 5. pebble in the sky 6. currents of space 7. the stars like, dust 8. prelude to foundation 9. foundation's fear 10. foundation and chaos 11. foundation's triumph 12. forward to foundation 13. foundation 14. foundation and empire 15. second foundation 16. foundation's edge 17. foundation and earth 18. foundation's friends <(anthology)
now these next books are by authors who contributed the asimov universe:
Psychohistorical crisis
Isaac Asimov's Robot city Isaac Asimov's Robots and aliens Isaac Asimov's Robots in Time
I read them (apart from the original Foundation Trilogy) in a completely random but still grasped the general arc of the story. As they all stand up as good books in themselves I don't think the order you read them matters much. Although the original trilogy act as a good anchor point for the rest.
