Tanner was sitting, listening to his iPod. He didn't normally do that, but he and Tessa had just gotten here a few days ago, and he hadn't figured out what to do with his free time yet.

[Amber]

Sutton slid into the seat in front of him. "Tanner, I am so sorry. I couldn't find my dorm key. I had to climb through the window..."

"Hi Sutton." He smiled slightly, turning his iPod down. "Your like the only one here messy enough to lose something that important."

[Amber]

She frowned. "Im not messy, I am trying to get into the swing of things." She giggled and pulled her text book out. "So we need to catch you up.... how is this going to work?" She shifted uncomforably knowing he was blind

Tanner held out the same book, only in braille. "Just tell me what you've done so far." He leaned closer to where her voice was coming from.

[Amber]

She nodded then blushed. "Alright," opening her book she went back to lesson one. "We are on lesson 5, so we start from 1 and work are way up."

Tanner bit his thumbnail, "Sutton?" He asked not really focused on what she just said, "Does it bother you?"

[Amber]

She looked up at him. "No, it is different. None of my friends are blind...." She looked at him.

He jerked back, "None of my friends are blind." He repeated his voice shaking slightly. Tanner was used to people reacting a lot of different ways, but hers wasn't a response he was used to. "Well, thanks for bein honest." He picked up his book, "I'll just finish this later. Bye." He got up and turned his iPod louder, trying not to think. He had thought they were fiends, but she didn't. He scowled adn walked away

[Amber]

She grabbed his arms and pulled his ear buds out. "Tanner, I meant none of my other friends. Your my friend." She whispered taking his hand. A tear fell onto his hand

Tanner shook his head, "Sutton, just because I can't see don't mean I'm dumb." He hesitated, a couple seconds, "Look, we can talk later, okay?"

[Amber]

"I'm not lying tanner, i-i thought that one day we.could.be.more then friends." Turning away she went hack to the table and sat down, tears.running freely down her face

Tanner was a sucker when people were crying, but didn't want her to know. He bit his lower lip, thinking, "Let's go watch the notebook or tianic, or some other sad movie." He reached for her hand to pull her up.

[Amber]

She let him. "Why a sad movie?"

He shrugged, "Because those are the movies I own. Do you want to see a horror movie? I could borrow one from Tessa."

[Amber]

"A sad movie is fine." Looking at him she whispered. "Tanner I am so so sorry."

Tanner nodded slowly, "Okay." He said as they walked out of the room.
