I am over 200 this school year, but don't read for a certain number. Just read what is appealing to you!

I don't read for a nmber but I want to be able to read as many books as possible. I love how easy goodreads amkes it to record the books you read!
I know!At first, it's like you can't keep track of what you've read, want to read, and are reading, but with goodreads, you can even rate your books properly, organize them with shelves, keep track of what books you want to read and when they come out, and even keep track of the page number(s) you're on!
^^Thats the great thing about it and also you get to met awesome people and have great discussions (:
Great topic guys... This year I set my goal for 150 and now I've read 60 books (about 40%)

wow, i've only read 62 books out of 200...i'm now %3 behind (6 books) but who gives? The goals just for fun, enjoy books! Does that sound cheesy??
200?? That's a huge number. But well, the point is to enjoy the books :) I've seen someone set their goal to 333 or more!

Wow that's alot!
I was ahead but since i haven't been reading much I am now right on track. I was going to raise mine up to 300 or more but for now ill stick with 250. If I am able to read more then great and if not then whatever!

I plan reading few. I am in process of looking for job since i just got done with college so might not have much time for reading.

I've got soo much school work, i'm not even reading as much as i'd want to...
Yay! Even though i read/finished two books, i'm still %3 behind, isn't it like, a book every 1 and a half days? so technically, i did 1 a day for the last two so i should be %2....I miscalculated...oh well, i'm 5 books behind now, not 6...again, who gives? (though i would like to reach my goal....well it is school right now, so i can read more in the holidays...which reminds me....i should be doing homework right now...i swear i'm gonna die soon from how much homework they give us....)

Not if I know that I've re-read them, does that make sense? I've read so many over the years and haven't kept track that if I haven't noted it before I will the second time around, but if it is a book that I like and am reading it again then I won't count it a second time.
As for my challenge.. I've had to change my goal again.. I originally had it set for 25 and now I am set for 100. I've read 69 or 100 so far but a lot of them have been fairly short. I'm going back and reading some longer ones now so I will slow down for a bit but still think I can reach the new goal before too long. :)

I count books that I already read. How about textbooks or works from school or college?

That depends... If I actually read the books, then yes... If I only scanned them, then no.
yeah, same here. I have no idea how many times ive scanned through Storm, while reading my other books that I haven't finished yet.
I am at 103 and 40 books behind boo!! >.<

I already completed the challenge (50 books) but I think I'll increase my goal. Maybe add 25 or 30... not sure though.
I originally started with a goal of 50 and then increased it to 100 then increased it again this month to 150 because so far this year I've read 106 books. I've been on here since last September and have never really kept track of how many books I read before. I guess next year I'll be able to choose a better goal based on this year. I really thought that 100 would be my max.

I started using Goodreads in February and had no idea how many books I read in a year so I set it to 100, but I got really ahead so I upped it to 150, and then I upped it again the other day to 175, I'm still a bit ahead of my challenge but I figured I'd probably slow down a bit since I'm going back to school in a few weeksSo I've read 113/175, 5 books, 3% ahead

Oh, that is right. I set my goal to 250 and planned to get most of my reading done this summer but that didn't really work out. I am not sure why I haven't felt like reading much until recently, which sucks since I am starting school soon XD
umm..... idk.... i think it's like 118 or 133 out of 200 :D I was a bt behind during school but caught up a lot during the holidays.....
Now i've got a ton of Art homework so I can't really read much..... though i read anyway..... I really need to stop.... :D

How is everyone doing with their challenges? I am thinking of cutting mine short. I have too much to read for my classes. Not sure yet.
