Sokooky I liked it, but it didn't meet my expectations.

message 102: by Rori (new) - rated it 5 stars

Rori (rori_mischke) | 137 comments I thought it was sweet<3 Now I have a sudden urge to go to Amsterdam...wonder why:p lol

Ahana~ (kingahana) | 26 comments I loved it! It is a book which gives positive vibes with a twist. Now the twist is that it makes us cry. Now the truth is that I don't cry so easily but in the ending instead of crying I felt like my stomach is being punched and my gut twisted. I loved that sensation actually ! So it is one of my favourites!!!

message 104: by Ray (new) - rated it 3 stars

Ray Gao (kanray_east) | 4 comments I liked the book, but I didn't find it as special as many of the people around me did. Some parts of the books were cheesy, and Augustus really seemed like a guy who just wanted to hook up with Hazel instead of the charming guy who fell in love with her. Some parts of the book failed completely to inspire me or bring up emotion. However, the book definitely had its moments that made me understand why people loved it so much, and the tragic part of the book was very well-written. 3/5.

message 105: by Adi (new) - rated it 2 stars

Adi I'm with Ray here; Augustus seemed way too perfect to be human, as if Green took the model of a Love Interest and used it, without adding any natural character flaws.

message 106: by Poppy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Poppy (poppyrebecca) I was gutted it didn't make me cry! I was expecting a heart throb although the movie did. I preferred Me before you which seemed down the same lines of romance and loss butt much better written

kate vnry | 53 comments I remember reading this and thinking that it wasn't going to be all that good. But I ended up enjoying more than I thought. I saw the movie too and it was cute. My friend cried and I didn't but it was sad. Really good book!

Victoria (victoriammd) | 45 comments I read the book because I saw the movie first and thought that if the movie is that great than the book can only be better. Of course I cried my eyes out during the movie. The same happened at 2AM when I read the end of it on the couch with my sister laughing because I was crying and complaining that I couldn't read the words with tears in my eyes.
It's an amazing book and the one that made John Green one of my favorite author.

Bryanna Banks (booknerdbree) | 19 comments AHAH! Now I may cry. Earlier I posted to "Five Feet Apart" and I thought it was this one. I was like "Poe? Who is Poe? Wait, Stella? Okay do I need to read it again, what happened to Augustus and Hazel Grace?"

Bookbutterfly06 | 59 comments I cried both with the book and the movie, no matter how many times I read it I will always cry at his pre-funeral

Kirsten (kmcripn) | -1 comments Kate wrote: "I had to start a new thread because I LOVED this book... I loved Augustus and sobbed through the whole ending... Has anyone else read it and what are your thoughts?"

I have never ugly cried more in my life!!!

gabs (taylor's version) | 11 comments My fav book of all time...I love it with my whole heart. It made me laugh, made me cry, and broke my heart while simultaneously repairing it.

Talulah Robin | 1 comments i just loved it so much, it made you laugh, made you cry, and overall i just really, absolutely, adore this book. the end was just so heart wrenching, and am i the only one that was worried it was gonna end like an imperial affliction?

Apricity | 3 comments I had to stop thinking about the book after I read it because I couldn't stop crying. It's a really heart touching book.

Rebekah (omgitsrebekah) | 16 comments The very first YA book I read when I was in high school! This book had me BAWLING my eyes out for a good hour after I read it! The movie is just as beautiful as the book! 100000/10 recommend!!! I hold this book very dear to me!

Kat(Taylor’s Version) | 11 comments Love, love, love and I’ve read it too many times and watched to movie like fifty times.

message 121: by MJ (new) - rated it 5 stars

MJ | 4 comments This book absolutely broke me, I was reluctant to read it at first because all stories about kids with cancer have felt the same to me. But this one completely portrayed the story in a new light and I immediately fell in love with Gus and Hazel. Tbh I didn't even see the ending coming, and I cried so hard while still loving every second of it.

✨ Christina disappeared ✨ | 7 comments OMG same I loved this book so much. Funny, romantic and heartbreaking.

Aditi ~ readwaditi (readwaditi) Oh god, this was actually my first book I read, if I remember correctly. Absolutely loved this one actually and the reason I fell in love with reading books. Augustus & Hazel were IT for me!!!
