1. The varnish is killing me. I sneeze all the time and it is giving me a headache.
2. The plumbing is still giving me grief, but at least we've isolated the leak to the front yard. I need to find a specialist that has one of those things that can detect a leak from above ground... or dig up the whole yard!
3. My cabinet guy is on vacation and his apprentice left out my oven in the diagrams. Not a good sign, right? LOL!
4. I finally found time to go look at granite, but what I like and what matches is twice the price as other slabs. There I go again: Champagne appetite and beer pocketbook.

Actually, it is, Gisela. I'm beginning to see the potential.

I'm sure it'll be a beautiful, then you can post pics and make us all insanely jealous of your new kitchen!

However, my heating and air conditioning is another story. **sigh** A lot more money than I was budgeting.

Lol don't feel bad, I was always told the same thing by my mum too... :D

Termite damage in the downstairs powder room is more extensive than anticipated, of course. The little buggers are still alive. I've stumped the termite people, who are meeting to discuss the next course of action: to treat before or after the new sub-floor is put in?
An outside piece of wood along the chimney has fungus damage, not termite damage, and therefore they need to remove more wood then first thought. Can't let that spread.
Still no finalized kitchen cabinet diagram for the granite guy to look at, not to mention the electrician. **sigh**

Nevertheless, there are things I have to be thankful for:
They were able to save the big window in the Master Bath that merges with the skylight. Yay! It is a custom window, which would have cost big bucks. Plus, it would have involved the roof, which I had repaired last year. (However, we discovered there was NO insulation on that wall! No wonder the room was so cold in winter!)
Also, repairing the sprinkler system cost less than I estimated.
And this morning we thought there was yet another leak in the pipes to the powder room sink; however, it was just at the wall. Yay!

Rant and rave away Lisa Kay. If it were me, I'd be tearing my hair out, so can completely understand!

What a nut!

OMG it doesn't stop does it? When something goes everything else goes wrong with it.
What happened to the nasty little termites? Are they gone? We had the full treatment around our house today , they said in 3 weeks all of them will be dead!

All those nasty little termites are gone! We've done a little more demolition and haven't found any. Glad yours are gone, too, Shosho!

We'll see.
