Angel-I heard they made a sequel recently but it was pretty bad.

You should see the version w/ the two Coreys in it.

Dark Lover is the first of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I haven't read too many series, but this one is probably my favorite. There are six in the series plus an "insider's guide," and the seventh story comes out on my birthday, April 28 (!)
I'm a reader and also a bookseller.

The first 4 of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles
Lost Souls - Poppy Z. Brite
Blood Ties series - Jennifer Armintrout (the first one wasn't too bad, but the rest of the series wasn't that good)
The Guardian Series - Keri Arthur (vampires and Werewolves)
The Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance - various authors
Cassandra Palmer series and the new Dorina Basarab series - Karen Chance (little bit of everything besides vampire)
The Twilight Saga - Stephenie Meyer
The Vampire Diaries and Night World - L.J. Smith
The Silver Kiss - Annette Curtis Klause
The Darkyn Series - Lynn Viehl
House of Night - P.C. Cast
The Morganville Vampires - Rachel Caine (just getting into that series, it's awesome!)
WVMP Radio series - Jeri Smith-Ready
A Rush of Wings - Adrian Phoenix
Blue Bloods - Melissa De La Cruz (I read the first one and didn't like it that much)
I am getting ready to start the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris
Those are the ones I can think of so far. I am sure I am missing something.

Agreed. The "sequel" destroyed a classic.

I know this is a vampire community. However, I thought that a few of you might be interested in L.A. Banks' upcoming release Undead on Arrival. It comes out MARCH 31st and is the third book in her werewolf series, Crimson moon. Check out the link to her youtube video, promoting the book!

but that's because vampires are all enemies and i refuse to believe that :)"
They are not all enemies. Michael and Sam are definitely not enemies. And even when the vamps are threatened, the humans pull together with them and work in collaboration. There are some that still are enemies, but the rest are becoming more of part of the community.
