the underworld is really good :) but i thought the lost boys just came out??... cause i watched one that just came out not to long ago...
I remember Lost Boys with the two Coreys! Ah...the 80s.Angel-I heard they made a sequel recently but it was pretty bad.
yeah... i have heard many rumors.. they did make a second one... but i heard some say it was amazing and soem say it just wasnt the same.... wait no they have a third one now.. haha! sorry the second one definitely isnt as good as the first but i heard the third one is amazing...lol. but some say it isnt... so its more the type that you have to see for yourself... like the movie hellboy... some poeple think its totally interesting and they can stay into it and other people say its really boring and can fall asleep watching it.
A third one? Really? I can't keep up. I did see that they are doing a remake of Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp. I loved the tv series remake in the 90s.
NO!!! Don't see the newest Lost Boys. It suh-uckz. You should see the version w/ the two Coreys in it.
Dark LoverDark Lover is the first of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I haven't read too many series, but this one is probably my favorite. There are six in the series plus an "insider's guide," and the seventh story comes out on my birthday, April 28 (!)
I'm a reader and also a bookseller.

Here are some of the vampire books I have read (that I remember):The first 4 of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles
Lost Souls - Poppy Z. Brite
Blood Ties series - Jennifer Armintrout (the first one wasn't too bad, but the rest of the series wasn't that good)
The Guardian Series - Keri Arthur (vampires and Werewolves)
The Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance - various authors
Cassandra Palmer series and the new Dorina Basarab series - Karen Chance (little bit of everything besides vampire)
The Twilight Saga - Stephenie Meyer
The Vampire Diaries and Night World - L.J. Smith
The Silver Kiss - Annette Curtis Klause
The Darkyn Series - Lynn Viehl
House of Night - P.C. Cast
The Morganville Vampires - Rachel Caine (just getting into that series, it's awesome!)
WVMP Radio series - Jeri Smith-Ready
A Rush of Wings - Adrian Phoenix
Blue Bloods - Melissa De La Cruz (I read the first one and didn't like it that much)
I am getting ready to start the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris
Those are the ones I can think of so far. I am sure I am missing something.
i think its amazing. i loved the series marked. one of my favorites. but could anyone recommend some really good vampire books??

Agreed. The "sequel" destroyed a classic.
I have read the Twilight Series, House of Night Series, Vampire Diaries, Night World, Vampire Academy, about to start Women of the Night which is by several authors and there is like 17 stories in there all about women vampires =)
wow i have read all the ones you put, but right now im reading the night world series which is very annoying at times because the story changes so much... but i like that like a small character from each story are in the next :)
See I liked the way the stories changed and intertwined. It kept me itnerested and Im so excited for the thrid one to come out!
Has anyone read any books by L.A. Banks? She is a New York Times and USA Today Best-Selling Author for her paranormal literature. She has a vampire series going (Vampire Huntress Legend Series) as well as her Crimson Moon series. Anyways, her vampire novels are awesome! You guys should check them out! If you want to look through her books, go to www.leslieesdailebanks.com I know this is a vampire community. However, I thought that a few of you might be interested in L.A. Banks' upcoming release Undead on Arrival. It comes out MARCH 31st and is the third book in her werewolf series, Crimson moon. Check out the link to her youtube video, promoting the book!

Diana wrote: "yes i didbut that's because vampires are all enemies and i refuse to believe that :)"
They are not all enemies. Michael and Sam are definitely not enemies. And even when the vamps are threatened, the humans pull together with them and work in collaboration. There are some that still are enemies, but the rest are becoming more of part of the community.
isnt tehre already a third book for the night world?? with a girl with blonde hair on it.... ?? and i havent heard of her but are her books good? like what are the vamp ones about?
the reason why i stick to vampire ones is because usually ALL vampire books are good... i dont know why just the writers are awsome... and other books, can be boring but i have never read a boring vamp book... its weird... like i love other books to im just to scared to buy a random book you know? never know if its gonna be good or not :)
I dont think its out yet...I thought it was sometime in april before it came out but then again, it couldve alreay been out. Hmmm Ill have to see. But yes, these books are fantastic. I love the way she writes and how all the characters in the different stories intertwine...It keeps you interested throughout the entire series.
Has anyone read Blood and Angels by Tony Rees, i like the way he has tried to add a little reality to the situation. It does remind me of the description on the back of the cover"like a blend of interview with the vampire and Goodfellas
humm... no i havent but... i usually like girl writers because i like when the main character is a girl because i can relate better... but at the same time... i have no clue what thats books about and if its by a guy or about a guy... cause i know a girl named tony... :P
Okay I'm half ways through Night World 1. Does anyone know if L.J Smith talks about Poppy and James in the next books, or about Mary-lynnette and Ash? Are these just short stories? Cause if they are I'm going to be pissed. The ending are too quick and short.
let's see... i've read:Vamp. Acadamy series
Twilight series
Tantlize
Blue Bloods
Ummm.... that's all i can think of but i know i've read more! and i have, like, thousands more on my bookshelf to read.
all i seem to read have vampires in them.i've read or am still reading
the house of night series
twilight series
vampire academy series
undead series
evernight
vampire chronicles
riley jenson guardian series
sookie stackhouse series
anita blake series
mercedes thompson series(more werewolf than vamp, but it does have vamps in it)
there are others i just can't think of them right now.
