You might be interested to know that the author did his own 'director's cut', if you will, of the entire trilogy and published them as one ebook volume called "The Realities of Aldous U." There's a book trailer for it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ew5Zr...
I think the trailer is worth checking out for the voice alone. :)
Haven't read this Aldous U. edition yet but it's on my to-read list.
