J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) Thanks, Laurel. It would be enough to drive you a little crazy without an outlet. :o)

Michael Murphy (mmurfy) The thing I've enjoyed most about being an author is meeting people who I would otherwise never have the opportunity to meet. I've met dozens of friends from book signings since my first novel was published four years ago, and I enjoy having so many online friends around the country and world actually. It's always a thrill when someone I didn't previously know shares their enjoyment of one of my books.

Nina Norstrom | 72 comments Well, this is all new. And I really never thought about why I liked being an author. I just knew WE ALL have a story inside of us. As we live and breathe we take a ride on a journey. And it was my way of expressing the journey that I took. The relief that I received from exposing it all was so gratifying.
The title of my first book is The Big "C:" A Weapon of Death.

Eduardo Suastegui (esuastegui) You know, that's an easy and hard question to answer.

I'll start with the negative: *NOT* because of the promise of wealth, fame and overall sexiness.

The positive answer is both simple and complicated. I've always been a daydreamer, imagining things that could happen in my life and that of others. Story-telling is for me an avenue to give permanent life to those daydreams and put them on paper, or electrons, as the case may be.

Sandra Farris | 237 comments Eduardo, yes I have a book trailer. It has won 2 awards: Best Book Trailer at the International Movie Trailer Festival 2013 and Best Movie Trailer Book 'N Sync March 2012
Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMzcqs...
I have 2 Face Book Pages for my books plus a regular one, but no Website for each one. My favorite Genre is Mystery, but I also am trying different Genres to see if I can write them.

Kasi Blake (kcblake) | 3 comments Writing is like having a baby. It starts with the conception of an idea. Then you have to go through a long, sometimes painful labor. Eventually, you have this awesome thing that you created. I love everything about being a writer, except for when someone comes along that hates my baby and says bad things about it. lol

I'm right there with you! And it's hard to say, "Well, art is subjective, so people with different experiences are going to view my work differently." It truly is your baby and everyone should love it!

The whole drive to write it down is to tell that story to others. So when others read it and like it, it's magical!

I've also noticed that my life just doesn't feel right when I'm not writing. I'm a crankier person because I feel off-kilter. I figured out a (slightly gross) metaphor for it: Writing for me is like peeing. When I don't do for a while, it gets more and more uncomfortable and puts me on edge. When I finally do it, it's a relief and I wonder why I didn't do it sooner.

Is that weird? :)

Codex Regius (codex_regius) | 4 comments I can't find books on these topics, that's why I am writing them myself.
