I remember reading this in High School, which for me was over in '83 not sure when it was printed but An elderly man visits the ghost of an younger man and a woman in a graveyard as a regular event. That is really all I can remember except they usually chatted in a gazebo ?? I think.

Ya know I think that is it , although the little blurb is nothing like I remember it , The cover seems very familiar as well as the title.
It might help to take advantage of Amazon's look inside feature. The opening bit is particularly memorable.
