You can take a look at what we have so far - a huge thank you to Jax for getting the ball rolling on this one - and see what the shelves are looking like. We want to make sure that when we open the feature to all group members that everyone knows where to shelve the books. We want to keep group selections separate from the random cozies that we put on the shelf.

Have fun!

I tried to add a #1-in-the-series book to the shelves, but it says only the moderators can add books to the shelves.

I don't know why it isn't working, but it still only allows the moderators to add books.
On the upper right side of the home page, there's a list, including discussions, bookshelf, polls, etc.
Clicking on bookshelf will take you there.
Let me know if that didn't make sense :)

I don't want to have a zillion shelves for every type of cozy, so some will cover general areas, like "Food/Beverage". That will include books relating to cooks, restaurants, bakery owners, restaurants, wineries, coffee shops...you get the idea. If the shelf gets too full, I'll go back and break it down into more manageable groupings.
There will also be two extra shelves. One will be "Professionals" which will be for PIs, federal agents, active law enforcement and their foreign counterparts. I think all of us include some of these as cozies.
The other will be "Not a True Cozy, but...". These are the books that might have more sex, profanity or violence than qualify under the definition of a cozy (see the Hello and Welcome thread), but we think of them as cozies anyway.
Give me a few days and if you don't see a shelf you think should be included, let me know, either here or in a message to me.
