One of the characters on the cover is Trip portrayed by Connor Trinneer, who is just the cutest thing in all of Star Trek! And he made me dumb struck the first time I met him.
That completes task 121 - Read a book that has someone you find attractive on the cover
Can I now have task 221 please?

Heheh love it Barbara!
221 - Read a book that has someone wearing a hoodie (just to clarify, a jacket with a "kappie" head cover thingy) on the cover
Let me know if I can help look for something!

Me too, and he kept on taking his shirt of in the series. *sighs* What more could I hope for!
He, I am not so old I don't know what a hoodie is! :)
Unless you have an excellent suggestion I'll reread I Am Number Four. On the edition with the cover from the movie he is wearing a hoodie. Might be a good idea to reread that book anyway before I start The Power of Six to refresh my memory, because I have forgotten most of it.

OK, something I have been meaning to read forever... A Brief History of Time. Will probably take me a little while though as I expect Hawkings work will require a fair amount of thinking. Interesting timing a I am currently reading one of his kids books in the bath and when my battery is recharging. George's Cosmic Treasure Hunt

Hey Lu, if you can comment on the Read Along discussion, could you give me my new task too please?
Ah, now I wished I had nagged earlier. The book I found that I can read is something that I could have read by now if had. Ah well, I'll go and read now. Thanks Lu, for my task!
Just to clarify the umbrella - does a parasol count and does it have to be open or can it be closed?
Completed 309.
You cannot see it nicely, but in the background is a row of houses.
Can I have 383 please?

This is not a book you should read Lauren S. Too many descriptions. They even got on my nerves.

It sounded interesting when it was described in a documentary I saw a couple of weeks ago. Because it was supposed to be written as a sort of redemption and emotional release because of the family trauma that one of the ancestors was the judge at the Salem With Trials.
So I was sort of expecting lots of witches and curses and ghosts. I was very disappointed when it turned out to be a sort of romance novel with lots of emphasis on descriptions most of them gloomy.
At one point I was reading and discovered I had read a couple of pages withour remembering what I had read. Funny thing was that when I read on I didn't seem to have missed anything. At the end of the Chapter I deceded to reread the pages I had forgotten and they didn't contain any interesting information necessary for the story.
I am glad it isn't on your TBR list and make sure not to put it on it. You would never finish the book so it would be a waste of your time.

Somehow I dread this one but I am asking for it anyway. :)

OMG Sorry Barbara!
OMG Sorry Barbara!
Don't worry. I had a bad feeling when I asked for it and I should have listened to my instincts. At least this gives me a chance to catch up with Claudia with A Dance With Dragons.
I filled this one with romance novels and easy reads.
Here is the poll: http://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/71...
And it is about the books:
1) Deception
2) Undead and Unpopular
3) Spellbound Falls
4) Eclipse Bay
5) The Power of Six
Happy voting and I'll see you tomorrow!

Do you mean any book in a series as long as it isn't the first one? Or any second book in a series?
Cool, should be doable! Especially since I am still on the second page of Snuff. So I could finish that one for this task.
Completed 383. Worldsoul. I only read fantasy if it's Terry Pratchett or Eoin Colfer (and this one didn't convince me otherwise I have to admit).

I need clarification. Must it be currently on a bestseller list or can it be something that was on a bestseller list, but is no longer listed? I checked the current NYT list and there are a few non-fiction books that are on my TBR list, but I'll have to order them. Does the Financial Times or Economist's annual lists of best books of the year count?
Current or old is fine :)
Financial Times or Economist's annual lists of best books - I wouldn't say so no :(

That's fine. I've got Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions and The Hare With Amber Eyes: A Family's Century of Art and Loss lurking around. Both were on the NYT list for ages in 2010 and 2011.
I read Spellbound Falls for task 267 - Read a book that was released in February of any year. It was published on 28 febrauary 2012.
