Aawww I wish I had this challenge last year cuz I went on a tear 4 a while back then, when I got bitten by the addictive marriage in peril theme. I gotta find a fav theme this time, Prolly cougar, cuz I luv older woman boning younger dude theme. Or my 3rd fav MOB (marriage of benefits) theme, I'll wipe out your pimp daddy's debts if U'll spread eagle 4 me when booty calls.
Okey dokey I've perused my shelves. After a coin toss between fav themes of step-sibs or sloppy seconds, the latter won. Now the challenge for me is to find 5 books featuring sloppy seconds (bro / sista / cousin's ex partner).My question is :
Does a re-read count ??

Kate wrote: "Thanks for adding the group challenge! I signed up to read five. My theme is reunion/reconciliation."Good luck kate!
I noticed a trend in the books that are catching my interest that would be perfect for this challenge.I'm going to do 5 books of reunited couples.
Hi..just a question.. I did join the challenge and registered to read 15 "sheikh" themed book.....I have gone in and annotated the ones that I read in my shelf space...Do I need to do anything else. Will they automatically show up? Thanks so much. Great challenge!
Leona wrote: "Hi..just a question.. I did join the challenge and registered to read 15 "sheikh" themed book.....I have gone in and annotated the ones that I read in my shelf space...Do I need to do anything els..."Have you filled in the name of a shelf?
If you did, then you need to click on that shelf name when you finished a book for that challenge.
After that, the book should count for your challenge!
I am on a cheating kick so I will try to find 15 about marriages in serious trouble because of cheating or assumed cheating. Is this one too easy?
Virginia wrote: "I am on a cheating kick so I will try to find 15 about marriages in serious trouble because of cheating or assumed cheating. Is this one too easy?"I don't think it's too easy Virginia!
Whatever theme you like will do!
It's all about the fun!
Good luck on your challenge!
I am going to participate. Now I just have to pick my theme...edited to add:
Okay. I think I'm going to do a guardian theme. Only 5 though since they don't seem to be as plentiful as some other themes.
Natalija wrote: "Can I still sign up for this challenge?"Yes you can Natalija!
On the main page here: http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/1...
You can fill in how much books you want to read!
Natalija wrote: "Thanks, Kouk!I just signed up. My goal is to read 15 "Sicilian Hero" books."
That is a nice challenge!
Good luck!

Natalija, I don't know if this helps, but I set up a bookshelf titled Sicilian Heros if you want to check it out....there are 37 books on it so far.3meg
Lady Danielle "The Book Huntress" wrote: "If I come across any, I'll let you know, Nataljia."I appreciate it a lot, thanks!

Is it a group shelf or your personal? I can't see your profile.
3meg wrote: "http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/...let me know if that works..."
No, can't see because your profile data is set to private. I guess only your friends can see it.
Great....enjoy! Have to say, once again Calibre does the job. i searched all the HP's for Sicilian and had a list that I could export to Goodreads...love it!
If it helps, I have a GR shelf for books that take place in Sicily, but I don't know if all of them have Sicilian heroes.
Lady D....I'm still struggling with how to update the books I have read. I created a shelf space....and I exceeded my challenge but only a few books are showing.
Kate wrote: "If it helps, I have a GR shelf for books that take place in Sicily, but I don't know if all of them have Sicilian heroes."Thanks, Kate! I'm slowly making my list. It's even better if the book is set in Sicily. I love reading books that are set in places I have been or seen.

Leona, check your bookshelf title for the challenge. When you finish a book, you need to make sure that you have added the book to that particular shelf or it won't count.

If you signed up for the challenge but don't see your name listed, please say something and I'll add you to the list.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thank you...I think I found out what I was doing wrong. I wasn't putting the date I finished reading it in the system. We should be good to go!

I chose the Guardian/Ward theme. I haven't read any HPs with that theme, so I hope I can find some. Any suggestions?
Ok -- it's the small things that get me excited, but I had to share that the "More Challenges..." link is now working, which means you can view the stats for all of your group challenges instead of just the last two added!

Description: This is a challenge for those readers who like to read certain themes. Your goal is to choose a specific theme and read a number of books in that theme within a certain period of time.
Duration: Six Months (March 1, 2012-September 1, 2012)
Instructions:
1. Choose a theme. Any theme that can be found in the Harlequin Presents line.
2. Choose how many books you will read based on that theme. Rereads are eligible. Here are the levels:
* Five books
* Ten books
* Fifteen books
* As many as you like (over 15)
3. The books have to be Harlequin Presents novels, but they can be old or new ones. They don’t have to be written in English as long as they are Harlequin Presents (including Riva/Heat/Modern Romance/Mills and Boons--not the Harlequin Romance line) books.
4. Let the challenge coordinator know you are signing up and regularly post your status on the thread for the challenge.
5. Let the challenge coordinator know when you have completed the challenge.
6. If you finish up and you want to start another challenge with a different theme before the time is up, feel free to do so, just let the challenge coordinator know.
Thanks to Kouk for the idea.
