Well...yeah maybe...but I got side tracked and only did the first two....and a couple "other" books instead....I am easily led astray.

Katya Sorry, I am all confused....I am in the middle of Once Burned and boy did I just read one of the sexiest blood draws ever written...whew!!!

What is stopping you from starting Ute? by the way...I love your profile picture...You are treasured! :-)

message 115: by Jai (new)

Jai I just finished Beowulf and Roxie (Wulf's Den, #1) by Marisa Chenery which was barely mediocre, and Until the Sun Falls from the Sky by Kristen Ashley which I enjoyed. Now I'm reading "No Regrets" by Mary Lynn Bast, which so far is middling. I've got a pile of TBR, including Once Burned (Night Prince, #1) by Jeaniene Frost , but I'm fickle about what's up next and *always* looking for recommendations.

message 116: by [deleted user] (new)

Totally understand Jen, Although I feel like I am constantly going through two different reading cycles. One where i have no TBR's and am drying for a good PNR and then I am on PNR overload and can't catch up. :)

message 117: by Katya (last edited Jun 29, 2012 09:23PM) (new)

Katya Jen that old TBR pile is always plaguing us. I loved Until the sun falls from the sky...what a great first book for the series.

I know I sound like a broken record but try Vampires in America by D.B. Reynolds and Sentinel Wars by Shannon K. Butcher.

message 118: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (lisamessegee) | 25 comments Read Wicked Road to Hell (League of Guardians, #1) by Juliana Stone Starting Wicked Nights (Angels of the Dark, #1) by Gena Showalter

message 119: by Jai (new)

Jai I've read and loved Sentinel Wars, and I'm madly adding the D.B. Reynolds to my TBR right now. Thanks! (Love this group!)

message 120: by Ute (new)

Ute (ucarlin) | 28 comments @Katya : oh goody - another reason to read this book next . I just want to finish Kindred #3 and book #2 of the Aisling Grey , Guardian series ...a third book would be too much for me, BUT I'll go on vacation next week and will be on a very long flight , so Vlad here we go ( just hope it does not get too hot in the airplane, lol.

....and thank you - I feel pretty Lucky and treasured :)

Jen you can pick up Vampires in America cheaply by going to Fictionwise.com (Example: Raphael is $2.54 in Dollars) and check for coupons on the web.

message 122: by Katya (new)

Katya Finished Forget Me Not by Shannon K. Butcher Not as good as her Sentinel Wars Series...but not bad....Aliens.

I just started the Because You Are Mine Series
A quasi - Fifty Shades type novel
(or should we say one big book in 8 separate pieces)
Because You Tempt Me (Because You Are Mine, #1) by Beth Kery Because I Could Not Resist (Because You Are Mine, #2) by Beth Kery Because You Haunt Me (Because You Are Mine, #3) by Beth Kery Because You Must Learn (Because You Are Mine, #4) by Beth Kery Because I Said So (Because You Are Mine, #5) by Beth Kery Because You Torment Me (Because You Are Mine, #6) by Beth Kery Because I Need To (Because You Are Mine, #7) by Beth Kery Because I Am Yours (Because You Are Mine, #8) by Beth Kery

message 123: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t you guys are such enablers. my next up shelf was supposed to help me sort and stop adding to the tbr shelf, but its beoming a tbr shelf.

Katya you find such good books!

oh believe me....I read alot of duds too.

message 125: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t but you keep adding to my tbr mountainous country. it has topple so many times it's insulting to call it a tbr pile, it has to be a country. but don't stop!

message 126: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol! I think we all are having trouble keeping our TBR's down! Just when I think I've caught up, I get stuck right back down again!

message 127: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t i'm so envious Didi, how does that feel. that has never happened to me.

message 128: by Ute (new)

Ute (ucarlin) | 28 comments You are way better than me - I never even come close to finish the list . I have to go through the first pages ( at least once in a while ) because I sometimes try to put books on the list I already did and I forgot, lol :)

message 129: by [deleted user] (new)

Pat, I only catch up when I have like a vacation or holiday time off. I have to keep myself under control. If I really get into a book, I will start it at 8pm and finish it at 4am giving myself only 2 hrs of sleep for the next workday!

message 130: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t even then I don't catch up Didi -- isn't work evil?

Katya Almost done with Hot Ink by Ranae Rose & about to read in a couple days: Faythe Reclaimed (Hanaford Park #3) by Lisa Sanchez

message 133: by Katrina (new)

Katrina Right now, I am reading Fifty Shades Freed (Fifty Shades, #3) by E.L. James . I managed to force my way through Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James which was pretty awful but the end made me curious. Fifty Shades Darker (Fifty Shades, #2) by E.L. James was WAY better than the first. The first 1/3 of the book was turning out to be just like the last book, but then, it seemed like a different person was writing. There was no real world or character building until that point in book 2 and by the end I really did like the second book.

message 134: by Katya (new)

Katya just read: Finding the Lost (Sentinel Wars, #2) by Shannon K. Butcher Lucas (Vampires In America #6) by D.B. Reynolds Shadow (New Species, #9) by Laurann Dohner Reflected in You (Crossfire, #2) by Sylvia Day

And am going to read Building From Ashes (Elemental World, #1) by Elizabeth Hunter & Tart (Delicious, #2) by Lauren Dane

OpenBookSociety.com (openbooksociety) | 5 comments Currently reading (and am almost done)an ARC of Dead Letter Day (Messenger, #3) by Eileen Rendahl .... so far it's not as good as the first one was and I couldn't get my hands on the second one....

Katya,

what are your thoughts on that series, any good?

Katya Didi wrote: "Katya,

You know...book one is only 87 pages long and a little short. But book 2 was pretty good. It is over 200 pages and the characters take a little more time to develop. the best part of the series is the back story....ex gangsters who are protecting their loves. The women are getting sucked in to trouble from siblings or life experiences that come back to bite them. Short, fun reads....I am enjoying them.

Another couple really good series I am reading (Contemporary) are:

This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas
This Man (This Man, #1) by Jodi Ellen Malpas Beneath This Man (This Man, #2) by Jodi Ellen Malpas This Man Confessed (This Man, #3) by Jodi Ellen Malpas

And

Forever Trilogy by Sandi Lynn
Forever Black (Forever Trilogy, #1) by Sandi Lynn Forever You (Forever Trilogy, #2) by Sandi Lynn Forever Us (Forever Trilogy, #3) by Sandi Lynn

Both Excellent! Waiting for Book 3 to get released for both.

Forever Trilogy deals with illness, suicide, broken hearts, rejection, being lied to....lots of very emotional issues but in the end strong emotional love.

This man trilogy deals with deception, strong emotional ties, stalkers, and trust issues.

both trilogies have book one written from the heroine's POV and book two from the hero's....Book 3 resolves the relationship and will be coming out soon.

Oops! Sorry to take so long to reply.
I wasn't sure I wanted to continue after I read
Alexandra's Legacy (Legacy, #1) by N.J. Walters . There were too many oddities, such as Alexandra quickly accepting her heritage. And an apartment door that locked from the outside to keep people IN. Huh? But when I was looking for something to read I picked up Isaiah's Haven (Legacy, #2) by N.J. Walters and liked it better, even though the H/h weren't typical. The heroine is the mother of adult "children." Legacy Found (Legacy, #3) by N.J. Walters was a good one, too, in spite of the age difference between the H/h. Quinn's Quest (Legacy, #4) by N.J. Walters was good, but not my favorite. I haven't yet read #s 4&5.
If you enjoy hot books, then you'll enjoy this series. They're scorchers.
