Me too, Ruby. I'm currently re-reading The Hunger Games for a new IRL book club.

Frances (francesab) I'm about halfway through-anyone else still reading?

I found the changing narrator/point of view somewhat confusing-I wasn't even sure I was reading the correct book initially (I'm reading a downloaded version). Frankenstein's actions on creating his creature seem inexplicable to me -(view spoiler)

Frances (francesab) Julie wrote: "I just taught this book in January!!! I do wish Shelley would have added so much more to the actual making of the creature rather than to just say Victor accomplished it. Would have added so much..."

I agree-I was expecting that to be a large part of the story (as it is in all the movie versions) and was somewhat surprised when it suddenly happened. It is interesting however that a lot of time is spent showing the creature's emotional and intellectual development-learning language and reading and about people and literature and philosophy-as he listens in on the family in the cottage.

What level of students are you teaching?
