I thought you lot on here had good tastes, What is wrong with 'the house of the rising sun'!!!!? Mind you I have been lucky enough to see and hear Eric Burdon and the Animals play it live, more than once. It really is one of the all time GGggggreats.
It would be a dull world if we all liked the same thing I suppose.
All the best, Paul Rix, [old geezer:]

Paul, for three years I lived in a country with a lot of Rising Sun houses. They were everywhere. Every time we went anywhere like to dinner or a dance of some kind, this song was played. Badly. I couldn't get away from it. So this song that used to be cool to me became nauseating where just thinking about it hurts my ears and makes me ill. It happens.

Timothy Pilgrim (oldgeezer) | 107 comments Hi,
I'd like to add the Faces to the r&r list from the days when Rod Stewart was the singer and Ronny Wood was a 'face' rather than a'stone' Happy days of my mispent youth perhaps. Memories of 'Pool hall Richard', 'Hot legs' 'Stay with me' and loads more of a similar ilk, With any luck I'll hear a lot of them at the rock and blues festival in a couple of weeks time at Skegness. I know I'll be watching the Animals and thinking of Rosemary, it must be horrible to have been turned off of something you once really liked.
Keep Rockin' all the best Paul Rix [old geezer:]
