Jamie Mason (jamiemason) Hi everyone! I've lurked about for long enough. I don't think I'm going to 'get' Goodreads until I jump right in.

I'm loving the reader reviews here. I'm realizing that these reader opinions are a wonderful compliment to the professional ones I come across in my work (I'm a writer and the managing editor of AuthorScoop.com - a literature and publishing news portal.)

Now when I hear of a book that sounds interesting, I double check to see what the Goodreads community is saying about it.

In February 2013, my debut novel (THREE GRAVES FULL) will be released by Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books. So as much as I'm enjoying Goodreads, I guess I fear it, too. But nothing ventured, nothing gained, yes?

How exciting about your novel. You must be very happy.

Good luck with it and I look forward to reading it.

Jamie Mason (jamiemason) Thank you and thank you. Yes, I'm beyond excited and into dream-come-true territory.Goodreads seems like a place where that will be understood.

But so many books... I just wish I were a faster reader.

You're going to find that this site is a great source of support and feedback for your published work, as well as a great venue for discussing favorite authors/books/movies, etc. for any and all genres.

I wish I read faster too!

Jamie Mason (jamiemason) It's terrible. My to-be-read list is towering. But I'm a savor-er. No skimming for me.

Thanks for the welcome!

Jamie Mason (jamiemason) Thank you! The web page is in redesign, so it's pretty nuts and bolts right now.

I need to get to my next mystery, so I can have something current to talk about in here. I've got non-fiction books to finish and then I hope to treat you guys like my online booksclub.

I miss talking about books with people!
