Gatorman's right. He should know...he's been in the game since the beginning. I haven't been in as long, but here's what Tim, who came up with the idea, had to say in his first post (Message 1):

We have all heard of that movie trivia game called "Six Degrees to Kevin Bacon". You know the one where you name a movie and connect Kevin Bacon to it within six steps.
Well, how about a Stephen King version?
With all the various cameos and appearances King has made, the opportunities are boundless.
Maybe call it "Six Screams to Stephen King"....

And then later, in Message 3, Tim says:

My idea is more related to making the “acting” connections to King’s appearances and cameos as compared to revealing movie details....

And still later, in Message 13, Tim amends:

....it does not necessarily have to be a movie that King was in. It could be a movies based on one of his works.....

So, I think we ought to limit it to actors and actresses who have an acting connection to an SK actor (somebody who played in a movie, TV show, miniseries, etc., based on King's work), not directors or even more tangential connections. That's what "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" is about; I think that's how this game should go, too.
