Can anyone explain the title to me? Six was in the book but she didnt play a MAJOR role. She didnt really demonstrate unbelievable power. So what does the power of six mean?

when i read the book i thought it meant like the power of the six main characters in the book working together to service and stay alive. but i might be wrong.
