I read this book a long time ago when I was about 15, and I would love to find a copy. Trouble is I cant remember it's title or who wrote it. It was about a monster that was being held captive in either a basment or a cellar (something like that) It got out and killed several people. Was a really great book. The cover was like a ripped open door. If anyone can help I would be gratefull. thanks.

Tulalia, You might be one of the lucky members whose book is found quickly, but to make that more likely to happen you might consider putting some keywords about it in your topic title. Simply click the (edit) link that appears after cant remember name of book. help! (edit) and put in some words about the book and then click save before you leave the page. Just a thought. More members are likely to read your post. Good luck finding the book.
That's a pretty vague description. Do you remember any more details? If nothing else, when exactly did you read it? That'll help narrow it down a little bit.The only book that comes to mind for me is Cellar by Richard Laymon. I haven't read that one myself, but given that it's Laymon there's most likely a lot of blood and sex. Here's a link to the Amazon page:

If it's not Cellar it might be one of Laymon's other books about the Beast House.
I finally found the title in another goodreads page. It is called Sins of the Flesh. Thank you so much everyone for your help. I will still try that other book you sugested. It sounds really good to.
