Adding authors

How do you add an author that has not yet been added, nor have been added any of his/her books?
I am new to being a librarian and I have read the manual but I have not spotted anything written about that ...

Taja, simply add their books and you create the author page automatically. If you then want to add information to the author, just use the edit link.
