Hi Roger. As a recent joiner I can say you're bound to be made most welcome.
Hi there. Just introducing myself. I got my Kindle (keyboard) yesterday but have been reading kindle books on my iphone for quite a while now. Am still finding my way around the kindle. As for reading, well, I tend to like anything with words in it!! Unless,of course, it is an Audiobook from Audible which i'm fine with if it has a voice in it :-)Looking forward to exploring this place and i'm always up for any suggestions for good reads, esp if they are free!!
Well there's plenty of good and free reads to be found here. Welcome Andrew.
Hi Andrew, fairly new myself but welcome to the group.
Ooh, I didn't know about the favorite food and drink aspect of our introductions. I like a nice glass of wine and a fabulous cheese to go with it. Or maybe a few different glasses of wine with a few different cheeses. ;)
A Big thank you to eveyone who has made me welcome on here. I'm finding my way round and tweaking my profile etc. Loving my new Kindle although frustrated I haven't had the time to give it a good workout. Have got about 6 books on it to read and am planning to put more on after payday!! I'm aiming to read one book every month. How musch does everyone else read?
Some read more like one book a day, but those are the heavy hitters!
I try to read about two books every month but it varies depending on what else I am doing and obviously length of the book.

I would LOVE to be able to do that but work etc alway get in the way!1 One good thing about my kindle is that I, eventually, will have all my library on it, So next time I'm stuck on a loading bay in Liverpool I'll be able to read whatever I want without worrying that I've left it back at the depot in Northampton!!
I know what you mean. I think you have to be retired or something to read that much! Work is the curse of the reading classes.
We all read at different paces Andrew, the only common point between all of us is that we all complain of not having enough reading time !Do check out the book selections, the recommendations,and the author sections on here, you're bound to find a great book right down your alley !

Hi there Andrew and welcome. I warn you now, this forum does reduce your Kindle time. People say that the Kindle is addictive. It is as nothing compared to this place.
Hey Andrew. The great thing about this place is that it breaks up the working day and is generally more interesting than Facebook (am I allowed to even mention that place here?!)
Of course you can, Paul! Lots of us in the group are on Facebook as well.How else could we share pictures of cats?
I've just make a lovely new friend on the sci-fi forum on Amazoo. He's 81 and paints gorgeous pictures. My facebook friends are becoming more diverse every day!
Until I got my Kindle I spent most of my working time on faceache!! Don't worry, as a lorry driver, most of my time is spent being loaded or unloaded at depots = kindle reading time, or driving up and down motorways= audiobook listening time :-)
Reading time has almost completely dwindled for me. Which is a shame because this place is filled with lots of lovely books and I cannot read them all!
I have the flat to myself tonight, I'm looking forward to some kindle time. Have to clean first though, the place is me clean but that is very different to hubby clean and of course "mother" clean. Parents come over tomorrow! (YAY!)
Glad to know the batroom is now clean... ;)

no - she fell off her trolley.just had nice roast beef lunch and gearing up to tackle thd supermarket.
She's completely off her trolley. I just had an enormous salad. Feeling all pleased with myself. I should have cheesecake as a reward.
