They're not books, and should not be added to the database.

I've added the ebook based on the publisher's website, here:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...

If you have the ASIN of the Kindle edition, I can add that as another edition of this book.

Pamela Evans | 2 comments Hi, I'm an author without technical skills, although I did manage to add my photo! I'd appreciate help with adding 2 new books and the cover of one title already listed.
Name: Pamela Evans (NOT the fiction author)
My website is www.pamelaevans.org.uk
My titles are:
1)Driven Beyond the Call of God (BRF 1999). This was subsequently published by IVP-USA as...
2)The Overcommitted Christian.
Both these titles are on your site, although Driven has no cover pic (see below for possible solution).
3)Building the Body (BRF 2002)
4)Shaping the Heart (BRF 2011)
My website www.pamelaevans.org.uk has full details of the BRF titles, which may be accessed by clicking on the left hand listing, and then on the BOOK COVERS - this will take you to the publisher's site, where you may find the cover pics to be of a better quality. Several reviews for each book may be found on the publisher's site. Driven and Building are out of print, so cannot be accessed on the publisher's site other than via my link. Shaping the Heart may be accessed direct by going to www.brfonline.org.uk/9781841017266/; the reviews may be found by clicking on Reviews button.
Driven Beyond the Call of God is the only title to have a review on Goodreads - posted in January 2012. I'd not want to do anything to lose this review, and would be prepared for the external reviews for this title not to be uploaded, if that meant the Goodreads review had to go - which looks to be a risk by my reading of the instructions, although maybe that's just because I am not understanding them correctly!
Thanks very much for reading all this. I look forward to receiving help when someone has time to give it - much appreciated. Pamela

Yes you can copy; no, description can be in the same language as the edition. (But don't make it the default description if there are other editions in other languages.)

Sarah | 2 comments Hi there, could someone please add my English translation of Charles Nodier's Infernaliana to Goodreads?

Also, is it possible for me to be given an author profile for this because I am the translator? I plan to translate a bunch of "lost" French works that were previously ignored by translators even if the authors were well-known because the content was too salacious, graphic, etc. for English-speaking audiences of the 19th century.

Link: http://www.amazon.com/Infernaliana-in...

Infernaliana (in English translation)
Charles Nodier (Author),
Sarah Archer (Translator)
Publisher: Cozy Arcana (March 23, 2012)
Sold by: Amazon Digital Services (Kindle)
Language: English
ASIN: B007OCHDZ2

Description:
"Now available for the first time in English, this collection of gothic fantasies, anecdotes, and tales of ghosts, phantoms, demons, and vampires by was previously only available in the original French.

Originally published in Paris in 1822, Infernaliana was written by the famed Charles Nodier, who is credited with starting the vampire craze in Paris with his wildly popular play "The Vampire", and his other collections of popular tales, first-person anecdotes, supernatural travel narratives, and gothic novellas.

Infernaliana gives a compelling and multifaceted vision of how nineteenth-century Parisian society viewed the supernatural tales of their past and present, from the sheer variety of infernal combatants, the role of religion and skepticism in these tales, and the vividness of Nodier's vision of the infernaliana (as one would have called a collection of things pertaining to Hell in the naming conventions of the time).

Nodier's collections combined ostensibly factual articles, brief anecdotes and narrative accounts, longer novellas, and written accounts of regional stories about specific infestations of ghosts and demons. These tales are diverse, some short and some long, some unlikely to stir the blood of a postmodern reader, others apt to produce more wide-eyed shock than one might have expected on reading a nineteenth-century text.

The author gives no indication as to what lies around each new corner; the reader may wander through these accounts as through the doors of the chateaux which figure so largely in so many of these tales, not knowing whether the door they have opened will lead into a small and curious rooms in which one lingers only briefly, or into vast, dark, and labyrinthine gardens and forests in which one sees strange beauties… And hears the sound of demonic hissing from the hedges."

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Got 82.

The book is here:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...

Unfortunately we can't use data from Amazon (even for Kindle books!), so you'll need to upload the cover art somewhere for us (you can use the photo section of your profile, or an author (translator) website if you have one). Edit: Never mind! I found the cover on Smashwords.

And your "author" profile is here:
http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...

You're welcome to join the GR Authors program: just click on the "Is this you? Let us know" link at the bottom of the author page. If you don't want to join the program, we can enter a short bio for your profile instead.

Phillip Frey (phillipfrey) | 18 comments This is my first day as a Goodreads member/author. I've been navigating through Goodreads and I'm getting dizzy. A book I've written is posted on Goodreads. I don't know how it got there but I'm glad it's there.

My question is how may I add to Goodreads a second book I've written? It is now posted on Amazon, etc.

Vicky (librovert) | 2462 comments Phillip,

Welcome to Goodreads! We used to import books on a regular basis from Barnes and Noble/Amazon which would account for your other book being listed here.

I've added two editions of your book - the ISBN edition and the Kindle edition, so that people can easily find the one they're looking for.

If you go to your the Phillip Frey author page and scroll to the end of the center column there is a line that says "Is this you? Let us know."

If you click on this link you can claim your author profile and be able to edit your information. There is more information about the Author Program here!

Phillip Frey (phillipfrey) | 18 comments I have sent the same as below to the contact page because I couldn't find this page until now. I found it by clicking on Noticiations, then clicking on Vicky's photo. Pure luck.

There's something wrong with the links to my two eBooks.

1) "HYM and HUR": The B&N Booknook link doesn't work.
The ISBN should be 9781452449258.
The direct link should be:
www.barnesandnoble.com/s/hym-and-hur?....

The iBookstore (ISBN same as above) direct link to HYM and HUR:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/book/isbn9....

2) "DANGEROUS TIMES": The B&N Booknook link works. The others do not. The ISBN should be 9781452475943.

For Amazon (same ISBN as above):
the ASIN should be B004YDPQC6 (the 00 are zeros). Direct link:
www.amazon.com/dp/B004YDPQC6.

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments 1) The BN edition is BNIS 2940032996293 - this edition does not exist on GR and needs adding to link to BN - Added

1)ISBN 9781452449258 is found on booksellers using the buy links i.e WHSMITH in the UK

The Kindle Edition works fine using the Buy Link to Amazon via the ASIN

We do not put links to Booksellers in the book page URL - this is used to link to a) Authors website or publisher if that provides additional info about a book.

The book buy links are working correctly
