Does anyone have any good book recommendations on Edward I/Longshanks? Or Edward II and Isabella of France? Fiction or non-fiction are both ok :) thanks!

There's a nonfiction book called Queen Isabella by Alison Weir that is very good.

Yes, that's the one I'd have suggested as well.

Mind you, she has an "out there" theory about Edward II that I don't buy; but it is interesting.

ETA: There's also the play Edward II, by Christopher Marlowe, a contemporary of Shakespeare's.

Oh! And you could also try The Three Edwards, by Thomas Costain. Highly readable non-fiction from the 50s.
