The girl in the mirror,
looks so fat,
how can she be,
the dieting me?
I slave on my diet,
starving myself,
for what seems like decades,
I still look like an elaphant.
My friend says I'm skinny,
but what does he know?
He'll never be asked to be an impossible size.
Maybe I should quit,
but then I'll always be fat.
I feel queezy,
and dizzy too,
my head is light,
I need to lay down.
I'm hungry,
but I can't eat.
I'm starving,
but my body reafuses it.
The girl in the mirror is falling down,
but I go up,
away from my body I fly.

That Old Mirror
That old mirror
Upon the wall
It hangs lost
Forgotten by all
A perfect reflection
Of opposite reality
Shining a twisted light
Upon normality
It's dark pane
A glassy screen
Shows us what life
Could have been
What it could have been
And what it is not
Joys and sorrows
Never brought
One could die
over the happiness lost
Or rejoice
For sufferings not crossed
Life and death
A single reflection
Mingled together
A framed collection
We do not see these
When we gaze
For they were never
And never will be days
We see the present only
As we are now
Our own faces staring
With solemn brow
The mirror keeps it's secrets
Never to release
It's knowledge of non things
Forever holds it's peace
(Please don't use without permission!)
