I had science olympiad regional tournament yesterday and it was sooooo fun!!! I had to be at the middle school at 6:15 and the bus ride was like an hour and a half but we got there and then I had to study thermodynamics (which totally sucks) for like an hour for the first event I was in- Keep the Heat- it turns out that my studying did nothing because nothing I studied was on the test! So once I was done that event I had to like sprint to another building for my next event- Towers0- and I couldn't find it. But I got there in time! But then the people were taking too long and I was about to miss my 3rd event- Write it do it- if I didn't leave for it so I had to go in the middle of us putting the sand in the bucket for the weight to hold the tower. As soon as I left it broke (according to the guy that was pouring the sand in) and I was sad... So after I left to go to Write it do it I went and talked to the lady and she was like, you don't have to be here for another 20 minutes until the describers are done describing (I was a builder which is the 2nd part) but I was already there so I sat in the classroom with the other people for thta event. After sitting there awkwardly for like 5 minutes I asked everyone their names and what school they were from and then we played hangman until the person told us to go into a different room so we could build the thing that our partners described. After I built the thing I went to lunch (I was soooo hungry!) because it was my lunch time and it was like almost 1:30!!! So after I ate I went back to our 'base' where all of our stuff was and they did were going to do these obstacle thingys where you get in a group and you have to all go through a hula-hoop and it was really funny!!! my group was 4 people from my schools team and 4 other people that were really funny and nice. So after we did that we sat on the side of the gym and cheered for the other people going. Then there was another race thing and it was less people and i was the only one from our team in it and it was sooooo funny because the people from my team were like chanting my name and stuff.... hahahaha that race was a relay race with volleyballs. then they did awards and every award our team stood up like we were getting the award and then we fell back down laughing every time!!! haaha and then we went back to our spot and I had a catch with this kid who plays baseball and the people sitting around kept trying to steal the ball. and then they actually started calling awards and we all freaked out when 2 of the events that people from our team won a medal in!! but we didn't think we were gonna make it to states because we only medalled in 2 events. but then they started calling the teams who were going to states (the top ten teams go) and they called out schools name 7th!!!!!! We literally all jumped up and started SCREAMING!!!! and I was sooo happy... oh yeah after the relay we went up to the team next to us because a few of the kids from their team were on the same relay team as us and we said to the one guy "Salutations fellow olympian!" and then we ran away and starting cracking up soooo hard. then we went back to apologize and say it was a dare (because it was, my friend dared me to) and I couldn't because I was laughing to hard... and now I'm reallllllly insannnneeeelllllyyyy happppyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If any of that didn't make sense, which most of probably didn't please ask any questions- I don't want to sound like a complete lunatic!
