Age: Unknown {She's not completely human, but appears around 18 or 19
Appearance: Bright blue eyes, long wavy dark black/purple hair.
Background: Scholar and owner of the tea shop in the town square. Knows magic, which is outlawed on some of the surrounding islands. Daughter of a water nymph and a sorcerer, and has control over water. Friendly, she speaks her mind.

Appearance: Auburn hair with reddish roots(falls to the middle of her back), brown eyes with flecks of red.
Background: She's the half-Princess of the island, and likes it that way. She has more freedom than the crown princess, Bella. She has a talent for magic, but she doesn't know any, seeing as it is outlawed on other islands. The Queen isn't her real mother, but no one knows that. Her father is the king, her true mother is a magic fairy.

Background: Orphan. He loves the outdoors, he is a 'street rat' but everyone seems to be in his debt because he is so helpful and resourceful. He wouldn't hurt a fly but he sometimes gets his food in unlawful ways. He is technically in trouble with the kingdom but they haven't caught him and pretty much everyone likes him.

Appearance:his true eye color is bright gold, but he can disguise it as brown so people aren't scared. (gold is a very magical color) Short, gold-blond hair, and each strand is about, uh, 2in. long.
Background: the son of a sorcerer and a flower sprite. Secretly likes Violet. He's a healer because he understands plants so well.

Appearance: Surfer blonde hair with bright blue highlights at the bottom. Eyes that change from blue to purple to green depending on her mood.
Background: She is a fairy who keeps peace throughout the islands. She loves swimming and she makes the maps and knows a lot of people because she travels so much. Her sister owns a bakery and her parents died in a tragic accident.

Background: Appears to be arrogant but is actually very down-to-earth. Sole heir to the throne of Attilane and will soon become king because his mother and father are very old.

Background: Servant. If you want information, she's a good one to ask because she hears a lot of gossip, but tells very little. Writes Bella's diary, serves meals, cleans the guest rooms, and is the cook's main helper, friend, and person to gossip to.

Appearance: dark blue eyes, light brown hair that falls just below her shoulders.
Background: Water sprite. Water sprites are often mistaken for mermaids because they both have power over water, but sprites do not have mermaid tails and can last for up to 8 hours on land. Sara is of noble sprite birth, but they select their rulers somewhat more like a democracy, so she does not plan on receiving the throne.

Background: Regular villager. Seeking work, but doesn't have any job yet. Sweet and smart, and completely innocent.

Background: Very mean and arrogant. Something of a bully. Thinks he's amazing and brilliant and no one is more handsome than he is.

Background: She is the most beautiful mermaid and can take on any form of sea creature and change her looks as much as she wants. She has a daughter, Isabella (Isa) who feels inferior because Isa isn't nearly as pretty as her mom. Neil is her husband.

Description: Jack cares about the forest, A LOT. He works for Lulu and loves his job, he is pretty solitary and spends most of his time fixing up the trails.

Background: Loves to read and write most of the time. She is loud, outgoing, hyper, and loveable. She really likes Prince Landon, but will never tell anyone, which is really unusual, because she loves to gossip and talk about every little thing that happened to her. She is very dramatic about every little thing, and some people have nicknamed her the drama queen.

Background: Owen loves to joke and tease, especially with his little sister Astrid. He is outgoing, but shy until you get to know him. When you first meet him, it's uasually Astrid talking until he knows he can trust you. He is madly in love with Princess Irene, but is too embarressed to tell her. He listens to Astrid's ramblings, and has guessed about Landon. He has a laugh that sounds like honey, and dimples.

Background: Max is an orphan. His parents died when he was young and he was sent off to live with his horrible uncle and aunt {Harry Potter twist there} However, when he learned that he was a hypnotist, he wasted no time in hypnotizing his guardians to forget he ever existed. Then, he ran away to live on his own, his faithful panther, Jink at his side. He is a master hypnotist but no one knows besides him. Quiet; keeps to himself; never without his panther, Jink. He practices hypnotism on animals (always returning them to normal when he's done of course!) but does not believe in hypnotizing humans unless absolutely necessary.
Appearance: black hair; grey eyes that turn a metallic silver when he hypnotizes; pale skin, as he frequently practices his art at night.

Background:She was born into the royal family, and lived a happy life until she was 6. She walked into the science lab, thinking it was the kitchen, and drank what looked like a glass of water...but was actually dragon blood and DNA. She woke up 2 days later with claws, a tail and wings. She knew the queen would be horrified, so she ran away.

Background: She was a beautiful mermaid, and lived a happy life being the youngest of 7 daughters, all princesses. Cora was a beautiful singer, and she loved her voice, but she longed to be able to walk on land. But one day an evil octopus queen Aranda promised her she could grant her wish. Alas she didn't tell her the conditions. Cora acepted, but she lost her beautiful voice. She mourns on land, wishing she hadn't been so foolish.

Appearance: Tall, with faded ginger hair. A smattering of freckles across her nose and arms. Pale green-brown eyes, slightly tanned skin.
Personality: She is usually a people person. Loves to talk, laughs a lot, and often gives advice to her close friends. However, when she is healing someone, or working in her office, she's very focused and strict.
Background: She trained as a village apothecary with her brother, a healer in the northwest regions. Her brother is far more experienced than she is, and she often sends for his help if there is a crisis in her region. Don't underestimate her skills, though; she invented a good number of cures, and helps to heal those in town who can't reach the hospital.

Appearance: Seriously good-looking. Like. Model, yo. Tall, defined facial features, high cheekbones, glistening gray eyes, serious muscles. Dark brown hair that's kinda short, but side parted and neat. Deep, melodious voice.
Personality: Arrogant. Super self confident. Attracts all the woman and really doesn't mind that. Pretty reckless at parties/balls/gathering/really after having multiple drinks.
Background: Heir to his throne, eldest son. Pretty jerky about it all.

Appearance: Slightly gawky, tall and thin with shaggy brown hair and blue-gray eyes. Muscular from training to be a palace guard
Personality: Awkward and kind of shy takes a lot of crap because he isn't typical guard material. He's also gay and while it's obvious he doesn't go around telling people he is. Very nervous about messing up on his job.
Background: Typical village boy that wanted to grow up and do better things than run his family's tailoring shop he decided to become a job and will do anything to get a promotion or raise, often resulting in making him look stupid.
