Very True. My sister always says "why read the book, when you can see the movie." But I know this has made people start reading again as well and i think thats the good thing about it.

I like to do that too but sometimes I have no idea about the books until after I watch the movie..Like City of Ember, I watched the movie and it wasn't until wayyy later that I discovered that it was a book(which i still need to read!)

Yeah movies make certain books famous! Like I never knew about the shopaholic sereis until the movie.

I think people do that because watching a movie is easier but they need to realize that Hollywood makes a lot of changes and also a book has more detail than the movies, so they are really missing out when they don't read the book!

Sometimes the movie is better.. rarely.. but I do like Jurassic Park the film better.

Yeah there are those rare cases. I love those movies!! ...but I've never read the book.

The book was good, but the movie represented the dinosaurs visually and in the book the dinosaurs weren't represented well in my mind.. It's one of those cases where it works better on the silver screen.

Yeah sometimes action books are better portrayed in the moviess. For example, I am Number Four some points in the movie was better than the book
