Neil Hepworth (neilhepworth) Help! I am a high school English teacher, and one of the things I focus on most is bringing material to the classroom that high school students would WANT to read. I'm really good at finding stuff for the boys, but not so much for the girls. Normally I'd ask this question to other teachers, but, honestly, most English teachers don't really have their pulse on the reading habits and interests of high school students (sad, but true). I am looking for recent (published) short story collections in genres OTHER than science fiction. You all are a very well-read! Let me show you the few anthologies that I already own that I really like:

The Philip K. Dick Reader
Wastelands: Stories of the Apocalypse
The Year's Best Dark Fantasy & Horror, 2011 Edition
Masterpieces: The Best Science Fiction of the 20th Century

In the same vien as these books, what collections would you recommend that hit OTHER genres like sports, romance, social issues, urban fantasy, etc?
