Has anyone noticed that Amazon has changed the layout of the Author's page? Where is the "Like" button now?

This is a tad strange. My author's page layout has changed without a "Like" button. And when I look at all of your pages, your pages look like mine without a "Like" button. I have sent a email to Amazon. Am I the only one whose page layout has changed?

I agree, Hock!! I think we might have to take a page out of Neva's book and personally message some of the people who linked their pages and so they can return the favor.
I would love to return the "Likes" BUT Amazon has changed the layout of my page without a like button. AND all of your pages appear without a like button,too. When I open everyone's author's page the layout looks like mine. I did contact Amazon and according to them, the "Like" button is and will be a thing of the past for everyone. Let me see if I can find the message and I'll share it with you. He was someone from our group, maybe he will see this???

I found it Mary, It was William Hage, be sure to find him and like his Amazon page when you get it going also....He said that Firefox won't let him use the like button....per him it won't show the bar on the right. Do you have the option to use Internet Explorer maybe?

I noticed the same thing with my author page. The layout has changed, and I couldn't find any like button. And when I looked at other author pages, I couldn't find like buttons there either.

Hi,I tried Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer, and the author layout page was the same on all three, with no like button. I tried signing in to Amazon and then going to the author page. Same thing. No like button. (Sigh)

I looked at the other pages, William Hage's, Neva's, and it doesn't matter which browser I use, the like buttons are gone. Methinks this is Amazon's work in progress.

Hi,Concerning the missing like button on Amazon author pages, I asked Amazon why it was missing. Here is the answer I received:
"We are currently testing a new design of your Author Page to determine customer engagement and satisfaction. During this test period, only randomly selected customers will see the new design. The new design is more visually engaging and makes it easier for readers to learn about you as they shop for books on Amazon. We're continually fine-tuning our Author Page presentation to help readers learn more about you and your work.
"In this new Author page feature, the Facebook button used by customers to share the Author Page on their Facebook timeline is deprecated."
I guess Amazon is saying they didn't like the like button, so it is to be avoided.

Some, I've noticed, get the new layout no matter which internet browser they use, some get the old layout using Chrome but not IE. It's a puzzlement to be sure.
When I asked amazon what was happening, they replied that they were experimenting with the layout, selecting certain authors.
