Great work, Ines! There are so many things in this series, you can read the book a dozen times and still find things you missed first time around.

Definitely! Even while reading the book, I read the same passages two or three times because they're so good and I want to remember those bits or to be sure I understood them correctly. I usually remember so I don't re-read much but these are books I'm re-reading, I really enjoy this story and all the characters. And it's also a way of making it look like I don't have an eternity to wait until book 4!

Nawnee (nawnees) | 132 comments yes we will lol although I did finish the book which means it wasn't all bad of course. I've only ran across one book in my entire life that I didn't finish and I took it back to the store.

the witch story has a cutie little love story going on and it just seemed tedious until she really starts finding out more about her relatives.

Nawnee, I do agree that Discovery dragged for a good portion of the book. I got into it once they left England for France and the US. By the end it had my full attention and made me want the second book to see where it goes.

I had no clue there was a second book, but your right by the end it had turned into a good story and I liked the characters more too. I would read the second book now that I know what I'm getting into I will be prepared for the slow parts.

The second book is Shadow of Night. It's going to be a triology and the Shadow of Night takes Matthew and Diana back in time. It comes out this July.

They're also supposed to be making A Discovery of Witches into a film.

Nawnee (nawnees) | 132 comments well darn I read way to much I did read that book and honestly my feelings are the same for the most part but I liked the historical side of things and I loved how the romance unfolded like a normal relationship. But I was thinking of a different book that right now I need to figure out the name it's very similar actually except she is writing a paper on a "cook book" she found in an old family house that she has come to clean out. and falls in love with a contractor whose working at a local church, her family is a long line of witches and she didn't know this. and her professor is after her family's spell book he's a crazy loon who puts a curse on the boyfriend. Does this sound familiar? can u think of what book this is?

Nawnee (nawnees) | 132 comments the only family she has is a hippy like mother who is strange and into all things natural. Instead of the aunts that are the family in the other book plus there aren't any vamps in this book just witches.
