Lee and Amir are alike because they are both lonely and move into a new environment to study. Lee and Amir don't have people they can be them selves with and open up to. In the book Prep Lee's "best friend" turned out to be a theft and Lee lost trust in her. This helps understand friendship. Lee and Amir both move to a new environment to study. Lee moves into Ault school with high-class people. Amir moves from Afghanistan to the United States to study. Many people move from place to place just to get a better education even if they aren't high-class people. My character and Amir are alike with education movements and independence.
