Fauzy + Whit All Over Again <3
TerraI stepped in. "Is it okay if we help?" It didn't matter if they rejected us. I'd lure them into letting us, of course, although Cad would probably scold me afterwards, but I didn't care.
Vex
"It stinks like a bitch, though!" I called out. I had carried the soggy clothes with me, and I immediately threw them into the washer. After that was taken care of, I took a long, hot, much needed shower.
CadThe police officer sighs, pausing as if to think about it. "I guess so... I mean, you're the guy's kids." He shrugs and motions us through the yellow tape.
Sage
I smile and continue reading a book I had just picked up before Vex had barged in.
TerraI gave the officer a grateful smile and then Cad and I walked up the creaky porch steps and inside the house. Inside, it still looked as if it had been ransacked. Our father's body was found in the tub of the main bathroom. I was the one who found it. God, that horrible night. If only Cadmus and I had stayed home... I pressed close to him, feeling a wave of both nausea and severe grief crash through me. "God, I can't do it, C..." I whispered shakily. I was usually strong, but when it came to my father's death, I was a helpless little girl.
Vex
Once I was all showered and dressed, I walked out and joined Sage in the living room, flopping down on the couch and turning on the TV. I flipped to a news channel and saw a familiar crime scene. "Hey, isn't that the place where that guy used to live? The guy the pack wanted dead? Didn't you kill him?" I squinted and looked closer to the TV, seeing two familiar figures walk in. I could've sworn that was the guy that passed by me earlier. I couldn't tell, since his back was to the camera.
CadI stop and grab hold of my sister, pressing her into my chest. I rest my cheek on the crown of her head. "It's okay, Tee. We need to face our fears someday." I know it was a lame line, but it was the truth. I wasn't ready for it myself, either. But I had to get over it now or never. "C'mon," I say casually. How? I have no idea. I notice that there were two cameras on either side of the house, that were on us, with our backs to them. Great.
Sage
I look up front my book, and at the TV with narrowed eyes. "Yep," I say with a slight yip in my tone, as if it were the most fun thing that I had to do lately. I saw the two figures going into the house on the screen. The kids. The pack had mentioned that I might have a run in with them if they were home, but they weren't. I let a smile spread on my face.
TerraI nodded and then stepped out of my brother's arms to look around. I could see little blood spatters on the floor and walls, and they made my throat tighten even more. I walked toward our couch, which was toppled over, and saw... Claw marks? "Cad, over here," I called, taking a closer look. "They look like claw marks, don't they?"
Vex
The camera went back to the news reporter, which had a very annoying voice, and I immediately lost interest and changed the channel. I flipped billions of different channels but couldn't find anything good. I just settled on Keeping Up with the Kardashians in the end, since their stupidity and drama-queen-ness amused me to no end.
CadI walk over to where Tee was standing, and saw that the couch almost look shredded from...claw marks. "Yeah, it does." My voice came out ragged, as my insides twisted.
Sage
I wanted to whine and yank the remote control away from her before I got pissed. But I just got up and went to my room before I heard Kim's annoying voice. I sigh and settled on my bed, as I rest my head on the pillow.
Terra"What... Was it some kind of animal?" I asked him, furrowing my eyebrows. Something about the way his face looked...it was as if he knew something I didn't. "Or was it, like...something else entirely?"
Vex
Eventually I curled up on the couch and fell asleep. I couldn't believe I was able to with the Kardashian sisters' nasally voices in the background.
Cad"Something else entirely." I knew exactly what happened here. Finally, we have a lead. "Come on, we have to go. Now." Instead of waiting on her answer, I grab her hand and haul her out of the house.
Sage
I fell asleep sometime during thinking about the man I had killed and what to do tomorrow with Vex. Which was really odd, because I never thought about someone I had killed before this.
Terra"What the─ Cad!" I shouted as he practically dragged me to the car. When he glanced at me, I gave him a death glare. "What the hell are you not telling me here?"
Cad"I know who--what--killed dad." I pant as I reach my car. Once we were both in, I swivel in my seat and look at her with dead serious eyes. "It was a Magic Werewolf. The claw marks on the sofa in there are more precise and clean than a regular werewolf's."
Terra"Magic werewolf?" I didn't even know there was such a thing. The name sounded ridiculous. "So, what the hell are they, like...some kind of wizard-wolf hybrid or something? I've never heard of these things before."
Cad"Try witch-wolf hybrid. Warlocks are sterile, but witches aren't. It's just something I heard about when dad used to talk to me a lot. He said that some people were after him for doing something he shouldn't have." I rub my eyes, taking this all in myself. "But I don't know who did it. But we've got a lead now."
TerraI sat back on the seat, my mouth open in a small 'O' as I digested all this new information. "Well, what do we now?" I asked. "I mean, we know what killed him, but... Now what?"
CadI sigh as I look straight ahead. "Dad said that there were only a few packs of Magics Werewolfs in this area. So we're not that far behind now."
TerraI looked at him, my expression unsure. "So then what do we do once we get there? What if they immediately gobble us up or whatever it is they do to their prey?"
CadI huff a soft laugh, as I glance at her. "Then we book it the hell out of there. Or, you could use your powers, but not actually using them to it's full extent." I gave her a look.
Terra"Fine, I'll use them on the males. It never works on females for me." I gave him a grin. "That's your specialty. I always love seeing girls get wobbly knees when you put on your charm."
CadI snort hard, making a wide grin appear on my face. "Oh yeah, happens every time." I say it likes it the most casual thing ever. I start the car and head home.
TerraI didn't even realize the sky was darkening. "How will you know where this 'pack' lives, anyway? We can't just Google it or something...right?" I glanced at him questioningly. "I mean, Magic Werewolves? I don't think the internet has anything about those things. We'd probably get RPG links at most."
CadI sigh and watch the road closely. "I guess we'll have to do some good ole old school research." I smile at my sister knowingly. "Books."
TerraI furrowed my eyebrows. "What books would possibly─" And then I remembered that there was a box of Dad's old books when we moved. It was probably still in the storage room of our beach house. "Oh yeah. Dad's old books. Good thinking. And thank God we brought them with us when we moved."
Cad"Yep, that's basically the only thing we have left of him." The thought hit me hard, making my eyes water just a bit. God, I missed dad so fucking much.
TerraThe words stung so bad. The fact that they were true stung the most. I leaned my forehead against the window and sobbed quietly, not wanting to cry too hard and annoy Cad. Some of my tears slid from my cheek onto the window and downwards in tiny rivulets.
CadI could hear my sister crying from a mile away, as my hand reach beside me for hers. I clutched her fingers like a lifeline, as tears of my own slid down my cheeks. "We'll be okay, Tee. I promise."
Terra"I want them dead so bad, C..." I whispered through gritted teeth as I squeezed his hand back. I knew killing those wolves wouldn't bring Dad back, but... I wanted to take their life the way they took Dad's. I wanted them to pay. I cried the rest of the way home, and when we pulled up our driveway, I wiped my tears and looked at Cad. "I'm gonna sleep in the Cave tonight, okay?" The Cave was a spot under the ocean waters near our house that me and sometimes Cad always slept or hung out in. I always loved sleeping underwater.
Cad"Okay... But be careful, alright?" I kissed her sweetly in her forehead, as I wrapped my arms around her shoulders. "We'll make them pay, Tee. I can feel it, promise." I smile down at her, as I make my way up our house's steps.
Terra"You don't wanna come?" I offered as I stripped out of my shirt and pants, handing them to him. "If you do, take these inside first, though." I gave him a small smile and walked into the water and dove in, closing my eyes and letting my legs stick together and turn into my tail. God, it always felt incredible transforming, as if my legs were a very uncomfortable pair of high heels and I'd happily kicked them off. I swam down towards the direction of the Cave.
Cad"I'll just stay inside this time, sis." I smile at her before she dove into the water. I tuck her clothes under my arm and head into the house. It was so quite I could hear a fly breathing. I yawn and turn on the stereo, as relaxing rain sounds wash through the house.
TerraI was kind of hoping Cad would come down here with me, but oh well. Pretty soon Trixy's going to call him apologizing and crying, and usually he'd cave and accept her apology. Hopefully now he was smarter than that. I swam into the small cave and curled up on the soft floor. That's what I loved about this cave, that the stone floor was so soft, as if it were man-made. It probably was, but I liked to think that it wasn't.
CadMy cell phone gave a harsh ring, making me jump out of my skin when I reached my room. I take it out of my jeans' pocket, looking at the front screen. Trixy. I immediately answer it. "Go to hell, bitch." I hang up, turning my phone off completely. That felt good.
TerraI closed my eyes and pushed away all the horrible nightmares coming my way. Get the fuck away from me, I demanded them, while I welcomed the good dreams. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
CadFalling asleep in my own bed felt nice, as to the rocky reefs that dug into my back whenever I felt in the cave where Tee was at. I didn't really like sleeping there, for that reason only, but it was nice to sleep underwater when I could.
TerraWhen my eyes fluttered open, I met a familiar pair in front of me, and I yelped and jumped aside. "C! What the hell!" I clutched my chest, trying to calm my breathing. "You scared the fuck outta me."
Vex
I'd been up since about 10 a.m., and it was now mid noon. Sage still hadn't woken up, and I was getting mad. I stomped toward his room and opened the door. He was sprawled in the bed shirtless, with his mouth hanging open and snoring. Disgusting. I walked over to him and smacked him with a pillow. "Wake the hell up, lazy-ass."
CadI laugh, swimming a feet inches away from her. "Good morning to you too, sleepyhead. Time to get moving so we can start on research." I give her a wink, watching her stretch slowly and yawn.
Sage
I woke up as something soft his my back. I look over my shoulder with half-lidded eyes. "Go away. Damn." I say to her sleepily, as I lay my head back down on the pillow under my head. Vex's lingering presence kept be from going fully to sleep.
Terra"Alright, alright," I said, swimming out of the Cave lazily. "Lemme at least get ready first. I'm a girl, you know."
Vex
"Fine, whatever. I'll just let the pack come busting in and forcing your ass awake." I sighed and just walked out, slamming the door. I grabbed my bag and headed towards the front door, ready to go home.
Cad"Oh, I know. Trust me." I roll my eyes visibly, as I swam toward the shore with her in tow.
Sage
That made me pop my eyes open. Meeting. Counsel meeting. Fuck. I look at the clock. It was in an hour. Dammit. I spring out of my bed and put on decent clothes and my shoes. Walking out of my door, I notice that Vex is waiting on a cab. "I'll drive you." I say as I get in my car.
TerraOnce I got to shore, it took a while to get used to my legs, as usual, as if I was putting the uncomfortable heels back on. Then I rushed inside and got ready, putting on a simple long-sleeved shirt and skinny jeans. Once I was all set, I went outside and saw that Cad was already waiting in the car with an impatient look on his face. I rolled my eyes and got in.
Vex
I grinned and walked over to his car, sliding into the passenger's seat, throwing my bag onto the backseat. "We should go over there now. Sometimes they like to start meetings early, you know."
Cad"Finally." I mumble as I start the car. I drive to the storage house we usually keep for all our family's history and private belongings. It looks run down from outside, to make unwanted visitors stray away, but on the inside, it was pretty decent.
Sage
"I know." I growl, as I turn my car on. It rumbled to life, as I peel out of the driveway. We had thirty minutes left.
TerraWe went inside, and I wrinkled my nose at the smell of old wood and dust. It creaked everywhere I stepped my foot on. "Oh crap," I muttered when I saw dozens and dozens of boxes. "It's gonna take a while finding the right one."
Vex
"Ugh," I muttered, rubbing my temples. "I should not have waited for your lazy ass. I would've been on time otherwise."
Cad"Nah, it won't. I organized them when he died." I smile sadly at her and turn to my right, where a few boxes lay open. I look down into them, and bring out one in particular, which was leather and looked ancient. "This one has the Magic Weres in them."
Sage
"Oh, shut up." I roll my eyes, my voice coming out in an almost-whine. I pull into a dirt driveway, as it lead to a two story building that looked like a warehouse.
TerraWe sat down on a spot on the carpeted floor that wasn't overloaded with dust. I leaned closed to Cad as he opened the book and flipped through the pages. It had a lot of creatures in there I never even knew existed.
Vex
We got out of the car and I walked to the door first. The two guards at each side of the door glared at me, and I held my hands up. "It wasn't my fault, blame him," I said innocently, pointing Sage as he walked towards us. The two guards let me in and I stuck my tongue out at Sage, practically skipping giddily inside.
CadAs I flip through the pages, specks of dusts float out from the pages, making us both cough a little. "Ah-hah. Found you, you bastards." I mutter as I held up the book at eye-level. The page held a bunch of writing and a picture. It was of a regular looking wolf, but was hulking and huge.
Sage
"Fucking bitch." I mutter to myself at I walk in behind her. The lights flickered on, revealing a round table with about ten to fifteen people around it.
Terra"Wow, those things look...terrifying." They really did. I got slight shivers just looking at them. They looked so different from your average werewolf. I squinted to read the words, but the handwriting was impossible for me. "Ugh, I can't read that. How about you?" I asked Cad.
Vex
I took a seat farthest from the leaders and Sage took the chair beside me. As usual, I tuned out the meeting because they didn't really care what I thought about anything, anyways. But they always talked to Sage. Sage was like their golden child or whatever. Not that I was jealous or anything. I relished in having so little part in the conversation. I could fall asleep and they wouldn't care, though Sage would probably poke me awake.
Cad"I never could, but I can made out some words." I squint my eyes and hold the book closer to my eyes. "Well, one back lives in the same area as here. So we'll check out that one first?"
Sage
I didn't even bother when Vex went to sleep. I was too focused on the meeting. The leader said that the children of the guy I had murdered was getting a bit too curious. They told me that I would have to dispatch them quickly before they found out about us. Me personally. This should be good.
Terra"Okay, I guess." Fear still pricked at me at what these wolves might do if they saw us. Would they know that we're the children of who they killed? Hell, was this pack even the one who murdered Dad? "Let's keep the book with us," I said. "Just in case we'll need it more often."
Vex
I was poked awake by Sage after the meeting, and I rubbed my eyes, seeing that the chairs were already mostly empty. "Mmm.. What'd I miss?" I mumbled sleepily, stifling a yawn.
CadI nod and stand up with it in under my arm. "We need to go. They might already know we're onto them." I sigh, and run a hand through my hair roughly.
Sage
"I'm suppose to dispatch the children of that man I killed." I say with a grin. This is going to be a hell of a ride.
Terra"Alright..." I pushed away the fear nagging at me as we walked out of the old building and back into the car. "Where exactly in this area, by the way?"
Vex
I raised one eyebrow. "He has two kids, right? Can I tag along? I don't have anything better to do."
CadI give my sister a drool look. "This is a little town, Tee. There's not much to look for." I smile at her frown, and kiss her cheek. "C'mon." I get in my car.
Sage
I shrug. "I don't care." I get up and walk out of the building with Vex along beside me. "Might need the help if they put up a fight." I wink at her, a smile playing my lips.

I sigh softly and walk up to the first officer I spotted. "What's going on here?" I ask him. He looks at me with a strange face, probably about to tell me to beat it and that it was none of my business. But he recognized me and said softly, "We're doing another thorough investigation. We haven't found your father's killer yet." That didn't surprise me.
Sage
I can hear her disgruntled noises from in the living room. I smile and yell to her, "It'll wash out, Vex! Promise!"
