Feeling Nostalgic? The archives

You know it's going to be a good day when...
Not literally. I just mean he got the "short end of the stick". He's always taking care of me when I get heart sick, always patient and sweet. I hate that 8 days out of 10 I feel crappy. But, he never ever complains. Always tells me I'm beautiful, even when I know damn well that I'm not...not at all.
I have seen photos of you Amelia. You do look beautiful. You need to start looking at yourself through Mr Amy's eyes. Yours are clouded.
Oh, Gail...you have NOT seen pictures of me first thing in the morning. The curls? They go NUTS in the night. I get up and look like Medusa with a head full of snakes. I could turn you to stone.
I'm pretty sure I could have dreads in a matter of days.
But, thank you. Mr. Amy says I need to learn to take a compliment. :)

Its going to be a good day when you wake up staring at the grey skies, the torrential rain, the bleakness winter symbolizes...and still you're able to see beauty in the people you love and world surrounding you.Or a good cup of coffee....coffee always makes the day better....
Love or coffee.....*wanders away to ponder life's unanswerable questions*
...you get to work and your boss has bought you a chocolate donut.

In the "biblical sense"?
In the "biblical sense"?

No... as in my Puerto Rican, obsessively tidy, hilarious, f-bomb heavy, Tool-listening ex-roommate who lives in Memphis and dreams of returning to Brooklyn by the end of the year was in the movie, having replaced Hugh Jackman in the role... best dream ever.
In your dream, the hot French guy was your obsessively tidy Puerto Rican ex-roommate?
That's
your best dream ever?

It was the most hilarious dream I've had. Ever. I especially love that he's gonna HATE it when I tell him about it.
When you wake up naturally and discover that you have been left alone for that morning. A rare occurrence.
Heiders, what do you mean "tell" him about it? You talk to Jean often, do you?
Amelia wrote: "Heiders, what do you mean "tell" him about it? You talk to Jean often, do you?"No, but I do talk with the ex-roommate once in a blue moon. Last time we talked, he flowered our conversation very generously with the f-bomb. It cracks me up every time. I dunno why. I can be immature, perhaps?
Oh, the roommate is a REAL person! I get it.
Amelia wrote: "Oh, the roommate is a REAL person! I get it."Yes. Yes, he is. He used to come home from work during his lunch breaks to sweep, bleach, and mop in his room and in the kitchen. I loved that he obsessed about cleanliness. I also loved how he'd react when Robby went into his room. Robby adored him and his little tail would wag in big exaggerated movements when ex-roomie was around. Robby also sheds like crazy. So you can imagine how this would send a neat freak like my ex-roomie into a tizzy when Robby would step foot across the threshold that was his room. He wouldn't get mean with Robby because he loved him, too. He'd just get nervous as all get-out and tell me to do something... which would make me laugh harder. And Robby would smile and wag his tail waiting for him to engage him in some playtime.

My fantasy man.
My fantasy man.

He really did, LG.
My husband likes to clean and tidy up things. However, he is not good at putting like items together. Consequently, I have a hard time finding things. This makes me screech like Mothra.
Those are not "like" objects. We have 3. I suppose I could put all of them together THEN he could learn his like objects...
Its going to be a good day when you get a visit from the kindly neighbor who baked you some lemon squares for Thanksgiving :DMethinks a certain kindly neighbor lady is going to get a big plate of blackberry crumble cake in return.
Susan wrote: "I want to live in your neighborhood."If you did, you would get a ginormous welcome wagon of gifts. Most of my neighbors are very friendly. I can only think of one whom I actually dislike. When we first moved in, we got so many cookies and treats that we started to feel guilty lol
Its going to be a good day when you realize its a beautiful day in the neighborhood :D
When you wake up after a good 9 hr sleep to fine your 5 year old house guest is still out like a light!

NEW PAGE!
In Australia, the United Kingdom and other nations once a part of the former British Empire, lamb's fry is a lamb's liver. Normally these are made into a dish known as Lamb's Fry and Bacon and are cooked with bacon or onions and a gravy made with the juices. They were once very popular in pubs as low cost meals ("counter lunches") and are still relatively popular as a breakfast dish. This meal is making a comeback in the form of a "slow food"-type dish.
Evie is making an excellent Phil protégée!
Yuck to lambs fry!

When you wake up after a few days of sweltering heat to a lovely cool breeze.

Kidding. Yes we are. Our government has recently imposed a carbons emissions tax on us. Aimed at lowering our carbon foot print.
Just a little lower and you'll have it right Lex.
