The cat waits until AFTER your alarm goes off to poke you in the head repeatedly till you get up and let her out.

(We have a cat flap/door. She refuses to use it.)

message 54: by [deleted user] (new)

Aww what a thoughtful puss!

Phil | 11837 comments Our cat is supposed to be indoor only, but figured out how to use the saloon-style doggy door. She never goes further than the back lawn.

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

She did NOT wait this morning. We were having a fight over my pillow starting around 4am. Did I say my pillow? How silly of me. Everything is hers.

That's fantastic! Did you get that sick in your stomach feeling... I hate that! That, you're supposed to be watching your little sister in the shopping mall and you lost her kind of feeling. The worst! Glad it all turned out just fine.

You went off with your boyfriend, didn't you.

Nope. Never lost her. Good example though, don't ya think? Couldn't anyone imagine that sinking feeling in that situation?

Oh yeah. Losing a kid out in public has to be one of the most terrifying things ever. It hasn't happened to me, luckily.

My friend was telling me how she left her little daughter in the giant playpen filled with balls (? or something like that) at Chuck E. Cheese while she went to the bathroom and I was totally horrified. Maybe I shouldn't have been. I suppose if there are lots of other parents and kids there another parent will notice if a kid gets stolen, right? Maybe not.

message 63: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4437 comments Those are just the places where a predator lurks. I would never rely on another parent that I did not know to take care of my child.

message 64: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments I tried to go to a Chuck E. Cheese once with my friend and his brother. My friend and I were probably 17 at the time, and his brother was three years younger.

They wouldn't let us in.

Maybe we looked like child abductors?

We went to Round Table and wondered if we could have gone in if we had a six year-old child with us.

Is Round Table the restaurant with the jousting?

message 66: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments Nope. It's a west coast pizza chain.

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

Mmmm, Round Table. What is with everyone and the pizza torture! This is going to be a LONG 11hrs till dinner.

Would it be excessive to slip out for a slice at Pizza Schmiza for lunch and still go to The Rock for pizza for dinner?

*ponders thoughtfully while tapping finger on chin*

LG, you're thinking of Medieval Times:

http://www.medievaltimes.com/

The food is better at Round Table, and if you have a few quarters for the old Pac Man machine in the corner; the entertainment is as well...at half the price.

You wake up with a kitty snuggling up to your head... Unless you don't have a kitty, of course.

message 91: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments What if it's snuggling because it's trying to catch that spider that just crawled under your head?

message 92: by [deleted user] (new)

If they're hunting, there's no snuggling about it. Trust me, you'd know!

My cats are crazy good hunters. They're bringing in critters through the cat door 2-3 times a week at least. I keep a pair of salad tongs on a book shelf in the living room designated for critter (mainly snake) removal. Once they've stopped playing with it, whether its broken or not, I fling it back in the yard.
