Rebeca Arredondo | 4 comments Fall wrote: "I am reading Obsidian."

I thought it was Obsidian by Laurell K. Hamilton, but went to your profile and saw it's Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Sounds like an interesting story, with the alien! How do you like it so far?

Rebeca Arredondo | 4 comments May wrote: "Right now I am reading the Great Gatsby for Social Studies. Is it any good? Has anybody read it?"

I've honestly never read it before, but everyone I know seems to rave about it! Just read it with an open mind and see if you like the story. It's on my TBR! Let me know how you end up liking it!

Not trying to gatekeep anyone, but I saw that Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer was most voted for the February BOTM polls, and how about we ~don't~ fund a racist.

message 11941: by eli ♡ (new)

eli ♡ What did Stephanie Myers do? I don't mean this in a rude way, it's just that I don't keep up with her and I've never read her books. So I'm completely out of the loop.

message 11942: by TOG_ACOTAR (new)

TOG_ACOTAR I'm reading Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas, and Crescent City: House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas.

I'm accidentally reading 2 books at once. Okay, so Queen of Shadows had to be put on hold, so I just read Crescent City while I waited, but soon after I started to read it, my hold on Queen of Shadows was over, so I finally got the book, but now I NEED to read Crescent City, so yeah.

message 11943: by Liz (new)

message 11945: by eli ♡ (new)

eli ♡ but why would she do that? I'm so tired of seeing POC(people of color) in movies, shows, and books portrayed as "villains" or they just fit into a stereotype. But we're supposed to be satisfied with this and it's supposed to be "representation".
