Reading The Selection, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it but I really like it so far. It's a lot lighter then the last series I've been reading so it's a nice break...

Someone PLEASE tell me if reading LA Candy by Lauren Conrad is worth the time. Is it worth getting into the series at all? I'm just wondering, not trying to bash at all, I've just heard of some really bad reviews..

Sometimes you just have to trust your gut and jump in blind. I read a LOT of bad reviews on The Selection but I really am enjoying it, so pick up the book you want and give it a shot.

I'm starting Clariel, the 4th book in Garth Nix's the Abhorsen series, in just a little bit. I didn't even know that Garth Nix was writing a new book in this series, since the last book was published in 2003. I got on Goodreads today and it was on my homepage - I'm ecstatic, since this is a favorite series. After I finish Clariel, I'm going to dive in to one of the series listed for this group for BOTM :)

I don't know how I felt about it - it was about the darker side of the world, and the writing definitely felt a little more modern and a little less... I don't know. I'm used to reading the stories about the good guys, not the potentially bad guys, lol! In my opinion, it wasn't as good as the other books were, but I'm looking forward to the one that is coming out next, about Lirael and Nicholas - that's the book I've been wanting to read!

As far as recommendations for Shatter Me go, I don't know... I feel like Shatter Me's pretty unique, at least as far as writing styles go. Such a good book.

Currently reading Seriously one of the prettiest book covers ever! I'm determined to read the entire Twilight series. I can't believe I've waited until now, but I tried the first book a while ago and disliked it so much I stopped reading it. I gave it another shot recently and wound up liking it. So let's see if I can get through all four books!
