I didn't like Artemis fowl either, I had to force myself to finish the first book. I can't NOT finish a book, once I start, I have to keep reading.

I have that problem too... The thing is... I have a deep rooted distrust of all things related to fairies/elves. They usually end up disappointing me thoroughly.

      I'm reading

I can't seem to get enough of Holly Black even if this book isn't as good as her Curse Worker series

I need to read the Curse Worker series soon! I've heard really good things about them from a whole lot of people

Perfection *Sherlock's Girl* wrote: "@Ela. What didn't you like about it?"It's not that I didn't like it, I thought the first few were okay, but just got bored, they were too samey. I wanted something really different to happen, I also didn't find the writing or characters very engaging.
I'm reading "How I Live Now" by Meg Rosoff. It's really good!

You really should... Also while you're reading keep noticing what the girl's wearing. There's always something green..

The first book was boring.I gave up on it the first time I read it.But the sequel I felt was way better than the first one.I have read till the third book and I like it so far.

@ Artemis Fowl: I enjoyed books 1-3 but stopped there. They're good adventure books with some fun characters but I just wanted something different - didn't feel anything particularly new would happen in book 4

      I just got

 and

!!! I'm going to wait until I finish Insurgent before I start Bitterblue mostly because I'm more excited for Insurgent!

      Just started

My favourite author but he wrote this book waaay before the Bartimaeus Trilogy so it's basically looking into the mind of a future bestselling author. And for all those who've read the aforementioned series, yes Heroes has the same Jonathan touch....
PLEASE RELEASE LOCKWOOD AND CO.!!!!!!! [That's his new series coming out in...*sob* late 2013. The world better not end if it knows what's good for it.]

and then
I am rereading a lot of books in my collection, plus some new books I just bought so these two are rereads. But I did just finish Divergent the other day, which was fantastic!

It is amazing !!!! Better than Graceling and Fire combined in my opinion, and I'm only 150 some pages in!!!

Right now, I'm in transition. I just finished an ARC of This Is Not Test by Courtney Summers which was great. I even wrote a review! I'm also reading an autobiographical book by Kevin Richardson called Part of the Pride: My Life Among the Big Cats of Africa, which is not really YA, but he's pretty much my hero, so I'm reading his book. Next I think I'll read another book I won as a first reads giveaway, although it was published last year so it's not realy an ARC. The book is called Astreya: The Voyage South. It's a fantasy... actually I'm not even sure it's YA, or at least it's not exclusively YA.Jessica, is Hemlock any good. It's on my to-read list
