thanks Carol!
I can't wait to check out everyone's blogs/websites! I too just redid my website for my new book that came out. I switched it from a 'blog' look to a 'website' and I love it. www.steenaholmes.comSteena
Hi Steena, I am intrigued by your website especially the Red Room. Can you talk more about your approach? Is it a collaborative effort? Did you design the site yourself? thanks carol
Hi Carol. The Authors Red Room is a collaborative venture between myself and Lisa Renee Jones - a NY Best Seller. Our goal is to help indie authors provide quality books that rival traditional published books - in terms of cover, formatting and editing. There are ready-made covers for only $35 or custom covers for $65. We also have a photographer and model selling stock photos for design artists to use for covers. And yes - I designed the website as well as my own :) Thanks for asking! If you have any other questions, let me know :)

Love your web site, Steena. Very professional and clean looking!
Thanks for quick respnose, Steena. Sounds like your services are similiar to Bookbaby. How are you different? What sets your services apart? thanks carol
After looking at book baby, it appears they charge you $$ for you to use their services. You upload your book, they convert and upload but it can take 4-6 weeks. The Author's Red Room isn't similar as we don't upload for you. We offer covers and editing. The rest is up to you as the author. And you can upload and have your book on smash words immediately, and then Amazon within 12-24 hours.
If you like, feel free to email me about this ;)
Thanks Peggy!Ash - I agree, it's a little strange to see something you've worked on in secret be made public! Congrat's on your new release in 3 months ;)

Hi everyone, I'm Catherine. I'm a newly published author of humorous women's fiction. I'm trying to update my blog once a week, although I slackly let it slide between Nov and Feb. I'm back on track - for now. Here's the latest, where I talk about why I love some books but only enjoy others: http://www.catherinerobertson.net/blog/

Your blog has the most beautiful photos - and I enjoyed your posts. Best of luck with your writing journey! Catherine
Good morning ladies! Hope everyone is well! I have a new blog I'd like to share this week. Please share this with others and I will be sure to do the same for you! Thanks and I hope you enjoy it! http://thiswriterslife-mjkane.blogspo...
I just visited M.J's, Catherine's and Ramona's blogs. Great! We really have talented bloggers in this group.
Thank you for the compliment, Peggy! I've found blogging has helped me become a better writer. Just like Tweeting...you have to be creative with 140 characters!
Peggy wrote: "I just visited M.J's, Catherine's and Ramona's blogs. Great! We really have talented bloggers in this group."Yes, thank you Peggy! MJ - I really enjoyed your blog on names - sometimes those nuances make all the difference, don't they? Catherine
Thank you for visiting! Oh man do they! Finding the right one to fit your character's personality is a fun one. The main character in the book I'm editing now is named Yasmine (spoke of her in the blog) She's a woman full of confidence, attitude, and class. To me, her name says it all. And of course one of her favorite things to do is smell great. She's always got candles lit at home, loves wearing various perfumes, and is all about looking her best. Beautiful, like the name jasmine. I decided to go with the Y- spelling to add that fire!
I agree M.J about blogging improving writing. I tend to like writing longer prose and the short posts necessary for blogging have taught me to be more concise and snappy with my words. Please stop by and read my new post, A Whale of a Vacation, on Kick Back Moments at http://pstrack.blogspot.com
Great post Peggy! Left you a comment under another name, ButterflyMemoirs. Speaking of which, I've got my #Six Sentence Sunday post on the Buttefly Memoirs Blog. Enjoy! http://thebutterflymemoirs.blogspot.c...

http://www.4broadminds.blogspot.com/2...Hi all, here is the link to my latest blog post.
http://www.4broadminds.blogspot.com/2...
Hey ladies! Hope everyone is having a great day! Just had this blog interview of me and my current project posted. It's not my blog, but if anyone one would like to get to know who I am, please visit! http://amethysteyesauthor.blogspot.ca/
MJ, it is such a great and surreal feeling for a writer when our characters seem to materialize in our real world. Thanks foe sharing your scene with Ebony. Carol
Thanks for checking it out Carol and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had fun writing it because it was just the way it came across, it was visiting an old friend. And since I'm currently editing the second book in the series and have moved on to another set of characters (friends, lol), it was just that, visiting an old friend!
Good morning ladies! Have a new blog post I want to share, something I think we can all appreciate. I'd love to hear your thoughts! Have a great day writing! New on the Butterfly Memoirs Blog: Conversation: Does an independent woman really want to be completely independent, free of romantic attachments, relationships, or responsibilities for the rest of her life?
Read, comment, share! This is for men and women!

It's still a little strange, seeing something that I've worked on in private for so long suddenly go public. It's like my biggest secret got out. ;)
