Hi, and thank you! My name is actually spelled Kailey

I'm not sure why it took me so long to find and join this group.
My name is Brandon and I live in Boston, MA. I joined Goodreads in 2010 and slowly became increasing active on the site.
I'm in Graduate school but spend any free time that I have devouring a book. As cliche as it is, J.K. Rowling nourished my love for reading at a young age. I have too many favorite books, but feel free to check out my list.
I've preferred physical books to e-books until I moved to Boston and realized how many books I had, the space that they took up, and how heavy they all were! I love my Kindle but still purchase hardback editions of favorite reads.

I'm also a newbie blogger and a writer. So if you guys want to talk about all things reading and writing, lets be friends and exchange recommendations!

My name is Charlie and I'm from Australia! This is the first book group i've joined also.
I've always loved reading since i was little and have recently been struggling to find time for it due to full time work. I thought joining a group might help me keep up my passion through discussion and like minded people, even when I can't read.
I'm a newbie so take it easy, but i'd love to talk to people passionate about series etc. Also any recommendations for good series/ amazing stand alone books and feel free to ask me for anything!
Thank you! :)

I am Eranio, and this is the first group I ever joined in Goodreads. I have been reading stories since I was a little kid and never stopped since. I love finding great stories in any medium, which led me to so many great things to enjoy including comic books, movies, TV series, novels, video games, light novels, magazines and much more.
I have so many favorite authors (and great writers in anything I stumbled on) and I can't list them all, but a few of them that I like now are Rick Riordan, Christopher Paolini, James Patterson and Orson Scott Card.
Best regards everyone, excited to be here. :)

My name is Fatima, and I'd have to say Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix (the entire HP series, maybe?). My favourite authors are Rick Riordan, VE Schwab, CS Lewis, and Edgar Allen Poe.

My name is Sonal, and I read a lot and in a wide variety of genres. I have far too many favorite authors to be able to list them all. Recently, I've been reading books by Andre Norton, Jeffrey Farnol, Baroness Orczy, Eugene Sue, and Charlotte Yonge.
I look forward to finding new books to read in this group.
Great to meet you all!

The list of Authors is long but currently I have been on a Lauren Oliver kick.
Great to be here and can't wait to see where it takes me!

Before commencing to introduce myself, I'd like to address the slightly misleading opening--No, I don't speak French. Not even remotely.
I like reading light romance/chick lit (a.k.a books with pink covers) and contemporary romance. It's a good way to relieve your over emotional side and to reduce stress.
Current favorite books are: The Hating Game and Paper Princess.
No favorite authors. Forgive me, but Cassie Clare and I never clicked.

I'm a twenty-something New Yorker by way of the midwest. By day I'm a marketing coordinator for St. Martin's Press (Griffin Teen!) and when I'm not at work, you can find me reading, listening to music, in a Pinterest rabbit hole, or wandering the city with my camera in hand.
Aside from YA, I'm a romance junkie and I don't mind a nice literary novel here and there, as long as there's a bit of magic in it, like The Night Circus or The Book of Speculation. As long as my YA has kissing, I'm good to go. I do tend to read more fantasy these days, but I'll gladly read contemporary tales if they're in the vein of Stephanie Perkins, Jenny Han, or Gayle Forman.
I'm not a super active group user on GR, but it's always great to meet other YA readers and see what everyone else is reading (or not reading). If you'd like to follow me on social media, I'm @LifeinFiction on most platforms, including Twitter and Instagram.
Happy reading, everyone, and I hope you're all doing well!

But I love all the Harry Potter books and also the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

My favorite book will always be the Harry Potter series and My favorite author of course, J.K Rowling.
But since I'm a Y. A author now too, I have to say that I love my books as well lol.

My name is Danni and i don't have a favorite book/author but right now i addicted to Kierra Cass' Selection Series.

My name is Quoleena. My favorite book is The Count of Monte Cristo, and my favorite author is (because of my favorite book series of all time) JK Rowling. Yep. I'm 38.

My name is Debra Jo, I am 40, and I am addicted to YA LOL.
Thank you the Admins of Addicted to YA for everything you do for your followers.

I'm Marguerite, a bookseller from France, but I preffer to read english. I love mysteries, romance and fantasy, but I am definitly addicted to YA ! I'm not sure if I really have a favorite book or a favorite author, but I love "The Tainted accords" by Kelly Clare, "The Testing" by Joelle Charbonneau, "Zodiac" by Romina Russel and "The Fixer" series by Jennyfer Lynn Barnes. I'm also open to everything and I really love to read (like pretty much everybody else here hehe). I hope I'm gonna be able to make some friends and discover a lot of new awesome books !

I'm from the US.
I like to read mostly young adult, thriller, mystery, fantasy and romance.
Some of my favorite authors are Stephen King, Ellen Hopkins, E. Lockhart, John Green, Jay Asher, J.K Rowling and Anne Rice.

Besides that as a person I have an adventurous streak to myself which I try to incorporate into my creativity and writing. Glad to be a part of your group!

YA Librarian - dream job!
I've just finished reading The Raven Boys so no series spoilers please.
Into Philip Ness? Or if you cross over into fantasy can I recommend Connie Willis, CJ Cherryh, Neil Gaiman?

I'm constantly reading YA "dystopian" novels. Name one and I've probably read it. I dislike when the characters are carbon-copies of other ones that have been done in the past (if you had to sort every character into 'like Tris' or 'like Katniss', you wouldn't come up with many who don't fit into either, and as much as I like Tris and Katniss, I love unique characters. Regardless, I still pick up carbon-copies against my better judgement. ;)
Nice to meet you all!
