Trinity Casey | 28 comments My name is Trinity and I really wanted to be a part of a group. I had been a part of one before but things got really crazy in my life. Umm I read a lot. Of everything. If you recommend it I'll try and read it at some point. I love almost all YA. I'm really excited to be a member!

Angela Gobeille | 0 comments Hi! My name is Angela. I love reading...a lot...I enjoy a wide variety of genres, but u especially love YA. I'm not sure I could pick just one favorite author. I love Cassandra Clare's books, as well as books by Michael Scott, Kelley Armstrong, Thomas Sniegoski, Melissa Marr, and Lauren Kate.

message 4504: by Devon (new)

Devon Trevathan (devontrevathan) | 3 comments Hello, hello fellow bookworms, my name is Devon and I'm a huge YA book lover, specifically of the dystopian variety. My favorite author has to be the queen herself, J.K. Rowling, but I save equal space in my heart for Suzanne Collins, Cassandra Clare, Veronica Roth, and any wonderfully recommended authors I've yet to discover. Friend me, send me some suggestions if you feel so inclined. I'm an author myself and finishing up my first book, so the tension is operating at a permanent high! Good to meet everyone, hope to get to know you all better.

Maria V Snyder is one of my favorite YA authors; I've read most of the Study series and I love Inside Out (and its sequel). I am also a big fan of Scott Westerfeld and look forward to any excuse to reread the Uglies series, which is fun no matter how many times you read it.

Looking forward to having a group to discuss YA books with and finding new books to read.

message 4519: by Sue (new)

Sue (suebrody) | 3 comments Hi everyone, my name is Sue. I am one of the oldest (if not oldest!) members, but I love YA and wanted to find out what books you're all reading. I have a Master's in Creative Writing and haven't been writing much lately but I have been reading non-stop since I got a new Kindle in December. I just finished A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, which is NOT a YA book, but it's amazing (follows a group of classmates from college through their 50s). The book I'm about to start is Ask The Passengers, which I'm really curious about.

Charles Douglas (chancemaybe) | 7 comments Hi, I'm Charles Douglas, and I just published my first YA book last week. One of the first movies I ever saw was The Empire Strikes Back and I have been hooked on sci-fi ever since. I have had a few cartoons published in papers nationally about 15 years ago, and I worked in television commercials for awhile. (I still dabble in small video projects here and there)
The last book I read was "Ready Player One" and really dug the 80's references.

What book dd you write, Charles? I'd really like to read it! (And I remember the 80s all too well--Joe Jackson, Elvis Costello, the Cure, and Squeeze were my favorite bands/artists.) I want to check Ready Player One now!

Charles Douglas (chancemaybe) | 7 comments Hi, Sue. It's called "Chance Maybe and the Galactic Glitch." There's a link on my profile. I made all the art for it including the cover. I'm quite proud of it.

The only criticism I have about "Ready Player One" is that the author loves the band Rush. I don't really. LOL

Kristina (niamangorabbit) | 7 comments Hello lovely people! I'm Krissy, a self-proclaimed blogger at krissyandhercupoftea.blogspot.com and I just joined the bookstagram community. I love reading YA books more than adult books & I don't know why. I'm 20, I'm still a Young Adult, right? Lol. Anyway, I don't have a single favourite author because you know, they're all soooooo good. But here are some authors that I love that I wouldn't think twice in buying their books;

1. Marie Lu
2. Julie Kagawa
3. Marissa Mayer
4. Leigh Bardugo
5. Cassandra Clare

My favourite sub genre will always be Dystopian & Fantasy. I just loveeee these kinds of books because it will literally take you to the edge of your seat. All those plot twists, world building & etc are just plain AWESOME. :)

I love making friends and talking about books & teas! I hope to meet y'all and be friends. :)))
