my name is Judi and I currently work at a college and high school... in the library! (Which is great, because I'm surrounded by books and readers all day.) I joined to catch up on my YA reading and discuss these amazing books.
My favorites are: the Harry Potter series, Ash by Malinda Lo, Divergent (but don't get me started on the ending of the series!), Jane Eyre, and much more that I can't even remember.
I'm open to friend requests, too - especially if you're in the library world or in education! :-)
i am jennifer. i teach 6-8 literature in a catholic school in the south. i joined for ideas for recommendations for both my students and me!

I love Mortal Instruments, Infernal Devices, Hunger Games, Harry Potter and many other series.
Feel free to suggest some books to me or add me as a friend...

My name's Myriam and I'm from Montreal, a french canadian in love with english litterature :P
I read an insane amount of books and lost my bookworm roommate a few months ago and realised I have no other reading partner. So here I am now, on goodreads, trying to people to talk books with.
I mostly like fantasy, dystopian, sci-fi and romance/coming of age YA. I have phases where I obsess over some themes or authors or re-reading my favorite books, some phase I read less, and some times, like now, where I can read 5-6 books a week...
I hope I'll find a place here where I can maybe read a little less, but discuss what I found good or no good, and read better books because of all the awesome recommendations I'll get !

I'm Stephen. I'm 42, married with three 'not-kids' (they are mid-teens, early twenties). I went into an English Literature Degree 4 years ago convinced I wanted to write scary horror but instead got a love for YA, Mysteries and Grimdark. At the start of this year I gave up my office job to write and podcast full time.
I'm also the online editor for The John Hewitt Society which is a non-profit that promotes literature, arts, and culture inspired by the ideals and ideas of the poet John Hewitt.
I'm currently picking up everything I can find by Patrick Ness, Louise O'Neill, Malorie Blackman and Margaret Atwood.
Outside of reading and writing I game, run, and get to as many open-mic events for poets, writers and singers as I possibly can. They are an amazing environment and even if you're not reading or singing it's a great way to meet other creatives and support emerging talent.
Happy to talk about books, writing and creative art stuff anytime.
Cheers
Stephen

This is my first group and I'm excited to see what it's all about :D

Feel free to add me as a friend and send me a message

I love YA novels but I don't like much romantic stuff...
My favorite books are the Legend trilogy and The Young Elites books by Marie Lu and I also love Percy Jackson and basically all Rick Riordan books a lot.
I hope to find some friends here so I can talk a little more about books because most friends of mine don't read a lot...
I also write stories myself but I've never finished anything (shame on me...)
You can always add me as a friend and send me messages :) I'm looking forward to it!

super great. I don't really want to travel outside of the US... with the exceptions of Canada, Australia, & NZ. That's SOOO cool.
& I just finished reading/ listening to audio book of The 5th Wave (first book) yesterday. Woah.. That was really interesting. My library's YA book club was last night, where we discussed the book. Not sure how I feel about that 'ending' with Ben doing what he did... Like "way to come out of nowhere!" He didn't even remember her... but I digress.
Yay, group forums :) lol

Fun Fact: My college has a Science Fiction & Fantasy course that I am taking. I am so excited for this class!

It's so cool to find groups like these filled with people like me who read books! I hope we can all be great books.

I love cats and birds hence my username. I also like reading fantasy books of all kind. I do read chic-lit. I suppose if it's a well-rated book in YA I will give it a go. I joined because this group look awesome.

I've always loved books and YA, particularly YA Fantasy.
YA Fantasy has always been one of my favourite genre's, so much so that I'm now an author in that genre.
This group looks great, happy to join.

I have a hard time picking a favorite author but JK Rowling is up there. My current favorite reads are the Red Rising trilogy, The Queen of the Tearling series, and Throne of Glass series.

I am very excited to be in this group because I don't have a lot of friends who love to read like I do and it's hard to keep all my feelings to myself. I enjoy showing my feelings to book lovers because they won't think I'm crazy :D

I've got a book blog (Anette Reads) and you can also find me on twitter.
